Good deals....in life, or just a good life

@JoJo
I am the culprit for the hijack of the 'Good Deals" thread, and am embarrassed that it went so far.
I am not sure how hard it is to move the lawn mower crap to this thread, and I know you have a full plate with the rest of the things I inadvertently post, but I thought it was worth asking for your help to maybe save the runaway that I was involved in, or the creator of…I am so bad at letting my fingers do the walking, but I am innocent…for years I saw the commercials for AT&T that told me to do so…not my fault, asphalt !
Love you…please don’t scold me. Mom…

Trying my best

@BoyHowdy

I guess I scrambled that up enough that even an alien that speaks a million languages can’t understand.
I plead the…uh, old fart syndrome amendment.

We “myself included” did get a little off track!:flushed: I wouldn’t worry about it @ozo , that thread is just a catch all to cover any good deals of the day.It is seldom that a deal lasts more than a week at most , Like Cat :poop: it will be covered up shortly!:urn:
We can blame it on the cleaning concentrates. :champagne:

I know to cover my poop…I learned from these critters that have eaten my home. :smile_cat:

You done went and changed your avatar , are you incognito?:ghost:

I am…somewhere…
I am actually ozo incognito on the Taurus forum, because [ozo] was not allowed, so I am elPescador and my signature is ozo incognito
I spent time with Bucky Fuller…only because he lived in my friends old bedroom [at my friends parents condo] while he was in DC…me an engineer, him a _____Bucky Fuller, WTF…and we appreciated the same ‘drink’.

But,…for as much as I run my mouth, er, uh, …my fingers on this keyboard, I can hardly be ‘incognito’, though Zorro I would really rather be. [and NOT Zorro-The Gay Blade] :smile_cat:

That is amazing , close to where I work they have a school that reminds me of his work.Very neat

I am not special, to my spouse, to any of my kids/grandkids, or to any one else I know. I have been a recluse for years, although for 50+ years I was very out-going, and traveled many places in the world as an engineer , and helped design some beautiful structures. I would not expect more than 5 people to show at my funeral.
I have played music with some [now] well-known folks, and the few that would even remember me are mostly dead. I have lived a life of dreams that came true, and would not have made mention in any publication, short of a few locally…many years ago. I made a few very small fortunes, and am now broke, but the amounts were spent on great causes, under my direction, and at the opposition of my children.
My life has pretty well been my own, and I have known the true meaning of freedom. I have little left to give, and less to the new breed of young these days for the most part. I have experiences, tales, adventures, etc. that many don’t believe, and sometimes I question the reality myself [after being told so].
Last weekend was a sad day for me, not because of what is in honor of, but because I used to cook at the Veterans home on Memorial and Veterans day, but politics shut it down, despite the commercial kitchen and the ARA health rating at A1…the local Nashville cops oppose any of us feeding the homeless under the freeway, yet advise us to escort them to the only shelter,…that is full before we could get them there. I am glad to be old, and sad to be old. I will not give up before I die, and will die on my feet before I will live on my knees, but I worry for the younger generations that will be left when I am gone. Not just my kids, but all of them.
I worry about all the critters that I have here, depending on me for daily survival, and I try to stay healthy so that I will be here until they die, although losing any of them tears my heart to shreds.
When I was a child I was invincible. I would laugh at my Grandpa for saying stupid shit, like “the older I get, the less I know”…now I am the Grandpa…and I don’t have a fukn clue. But the sun comes up, I lay in bed later and longer than usual, the critters remind me that I have responsibilities, and I get up to do the chores.
The greatest things I have in life are the affections from almost 100 critters [now being rapidly transported elsewhere because I can’t physically tend them all]…and the memories that I think are real in my head.
It has been a good life, a great life, but I never would have conceived it would turn out this way.
Sorry, didn’t mean to lay no boogie-woogie on you…

It’s all good, anytime you need to lay down some boogie woogie people are here.I don’t have the answers but I can and will pray for you and yours.
God bless and just keep fighting my friend.

As I always have some vodka on my desk for cleaning some sort of e-juice paraphernalia, when I see these “act now” prompts in front of me [that pisses the spouse off, yea…], I take a favorite flavor and test a few drops…test it in a shot [beaker], and the “immediate need” dissipates…well, usually. Sometimes it takes a bit more testing, eh?

The bourbon is for medicinal purposes , after mowing a little over 15 acres today my sinuses are acting up.Plus the bourbon helps ease the sunburn.:fist:

You need a new e-juice recipe…for vaping as you mow. Hell, I was thinking about inviting you down to help me mow some, but now I am scared to. Most of my land I leave for pasture, mowed once/twice a year, except for the hay fields.
I [try to] mow the “presentable” areas every week 90acres least/150acres most …haha, when I fkn get to it anymore…it is a ranch, c’mon…maybe you need a bigger mower, eh? Or, if you’re getting old, some hired help?
I love to ride the mower, it really gives me peace…except when I run over critters …but I can’t avoid it. Well, I guess I could not mow. The first mowing of the season is the worst for babies.
I had gang mowers, and a Hispanic[legal] great group for hire, but they have dispersed, though some work running my kids gun rooms and firing ranges…[better climate/better pay]
I mainly use a Toro 5500 except right up near the house…a little five-deck…

Nice setup , I could use a better mower for sure.I have a 80 year model Kubota 245L with a Lands Pride finishing mower .It is old and slow but it always starts and like you I find it very pleasurable.I had the pleasure of watching one large doe and one lone hen while I mowed.I leave strips to help hide their little ones when they come.Still early yet but the hen is sitting , luckily I seen her a month ago and had an idea where her nest would be.They should be starting to hatch around here any time now.
I do have an older 1967 or 68 sorry , I suffer from CRS , Ford 4000 diesel and an 7 foot bushhog but I only use it after winter to alternate my strips for the wildlife.
I went pricing a new Kubota online yesterday a BX23 with mower and a front end loader. I got to the 17,000.00 price and I decided my old one will last another year!:smile_cat:
