Don’t ask I’m not sure all the differences either. I do know I don’t like the cheap distillates.
It’s definitely not a problem to unscrew the panel to have a look inside the mod if you’re confident in doing so. It’s a pain if the battery is soldered to the chip because then you don’t have any flexibility with an easy external charge of the battery. If that’s the case you may need a different sort of balance charger, one that has clips included that you can clip onto the battery leads. Don’t unscrew the actual chip from the mod though as this will only cause you issues! The type of battery your using won’t help in any way it will all charge up the same.
The first batches some of them had issues with fire buttons sticking on, theres also a quick way to tell if you have one of the newer batch, it will have the battery % under where the resistance is displayed, the first batch had a puff timer instead of battery %
Hey thx, I just checked. Yes, the battery % is under the resistance display. Also, I never had an issue with the fire button sticking. Just got stuck with these bully magnets Maybe after several years of keeping the magnets away from each other they’ll lose their super powers, lol.
The battery model number of your lipo isn’t an issue as your lipo battery will charge up exactly the same as any other lipo batteries using a balance charger dedicated for the job.
Yeah, it is a bit funky. I forgot to cut the one leg short right away to make it easier but was just able to bend it in there. I still could have trimmed it but had concerns about cutting it too short so I fought it a little bit.
I thought that I nailed the wicking first try but am noticing a little bit of dryness when I’ve gone to turn the power up a bit. I usually vape on the lower end of recommended power ranges anyway but I think I will probably trim the wicks a bit after this tankful.
Is this the one where an anti-clockwise wrap makes it easier, too? I can’t remember. Whatever the case, I love breaking out the oldies and revisiting. Happy to see your hand check
ETA: I recently had the Serpent Mini RTA out and loved the flavor but it sucks the juice. I was scouting around for a bubble glass that would fit but could only find one for the sub-ohm version. Didn’t even know they had one!
Whether the battery is soldered to the chip or not will be entirely up to the company that made the mod. So the info on your lipo battery won’t be able to tell you that.
Thx for the info. My knowledge of lipos trails behind li-ions. All I know is that it has 3 cells in series and 1200mAh, 11.1V, iirc.
My interest in this type of lipo was thinking it would be advantageous to series builds. I have a mech mod that was built for li-ions in series and it hits fast and hard. Am I on the right track?
If you want an even faster ramp up from your watts, you can use ‘boost’ for 1 second increase in extra power
So that would be a 3S1P Lipo. It has 3@1200mAh per cell. The 11.1V is the nominal voltage of each cell (3.7V x 3) but a full charge is (4.2V x 3) or 12.6V just like 3@18650 or 21700.
It would be good for ‘serial’ coils with the mods limited max output of 9.3V. (From full battery to board cutoff).
That series mech started at 8.4V and dropped a bit with every puff.
