That was the thing, these were people with experience and tried every which wicking way possible and still had leaks. I surmised an o-ring problem or something. Idk, were there clones in the market?
That says a lot right there. Okay, I’m beginning to understand better now.
I thought it had a bubble glass option for more capacity. That’s more helpful info. I didn’t realize the OG had a 7ml option. That’s a plus, imo. Well then, my friend who bought several of them trying to see if he would change his mind, offered to give me 1 (or 2). Maybe I should take him up on his offer
The bubble glass is aftermarket @muth, I got mine from a shop in Western Australia but I would imagine they are available on the normal Chinese sites.
No clones that I know of back then but I think there has been since. If filled via the top fill, the design and oring on the cap would potentially flood the deck causing leaks. However, I am able to fill mine via top fill without issue, just prefer the bottom fill as it allows more volume.
I have yet to see one for the 2.0 and the way it is designed would make a bubble glass for it difficult to implement. They are still a good looking RTA, and the top fill looks easy so 3ml probably wouldn’t be an issue for most people.
Thank you lanc13, all these details are very helpful information. I’ll be sure to pass it on to the couple of friends having issues about the leaking. I’m sure they wouldn’t mind bottom filling as they are long time KF fans.
A lot is in the wicking @muth. I do my coils with a 3.0mm ID and fairly close to the deck. My coils are usually enough wraps (7 - 10) so the wick is not draped on the deck. I use SS316L so it allows the coils to me quite long and still under 1 ohm.
Wick firmly, cut the wicks level with the outer base, rake them a fair bit, cut ends square and then tease the ends into the juice wells. The idea is to have the wells full all the way to the bottom, but not jammed in there.
A lot of trial and error, but that’s what works for me with these RTA’s.
I always look at wicking when there’s a problem. Unfortunately, when some folks have lost patience with something there’s no going back. That works out for me because he said I could have any of his Zerker stuff.
Only problem I have is the internal thread on the battery chamber has threaded, so it sits a bit wonky.
I have to put the cap on a slight angle for it to stay on.
I’ve had it a while now tho, maybe a new one for chrissie!
VapeKing still sell them and deliver here, that’s where I got mine from. When you get a new one, put a little VG on the thread for the battery cap. It helps so long as you keep it lubricated.
the uwell FANCIER has no flavor except when squonked!.. so I added the SC & now the flavor is wonderful… no1 get this mod tho (150W Triumph by Yummycig), it was a cheap squonk mod & it doesn’t have many safety features on it & it takes like 2 sec. for it to fire…
