I hope everyone had a great New Year’s Eve! A new year calls for new recipes, and a rotation of my favorite ADVs. I prefer simple mixes, but if you are puffin’ on something intricate all day, then I’d definitely want to hear about it, too.
So, what are you guys’ current ADVs?
I know this has been asked a LOT of times, but the posts which contain simple recipes or ADVs are mostly older. Every time I searched the site, I got results from 2015-16 or so.
Currently, I am really enjoying “The New Pistachio RY4-U” and a couple of other RY4 variants in my MTL tanks and drippers. DL I have yet to find something that I love enough to mix consistently. I’m mainly playing around with lemonades and fruit mixes but pretty much always find something that I don’t like in every mix, so quickly move onto something else. If anyone has any simple (or not) fruit ADVs they can contribute, that would be greatly appreciated.
Anyway, enough babbling. I hope everyone has a great start in the new year!
Yes it’s a New Year and thankfully I have an ADV that I came upon by shear accident. When I found it I had never bought a one-shot before and was shopping at Chefs Flavors. I needed 1 more bottle of something to make it an even $100.00 order (w/shipping) and being that it was on sale it put me right on the mark. I bought it because I liked the look of the artwork they used not the flavor profile. And it turned out to be an amazing mix. Three days after receiving YO HO HO I went back on Chefs to order more and found out that it was going to be discontinued. Hence I bought like 10 bottles thinking so highly of myself that I could clone it. Man was I mistaken I got really close but could never get it exact. Luckily with some help from a friend I found the original creator who decided to release the OG recipe for Yo Ho Ho. It has and will continue to be my ADV, so much that I literally have 480ml of the one-shot bottled and ready to mix at anytime. As well as I just need one order for larger bottles 120, and 500ml each of a few of the ingredients, just not Rich Cinnamon I’m pretty sure the 10ml I have will last me forever. Although I said it before, I’ve never come across a science fiction story or film in which the 21th century was not completely crap.
The misery of that era was the reason the Federation of Planets came into being.
I’ve had no energy for mixing, coil building or cotton changes for a long time.
My ADV is a joint, that’s about as much as I can manage.
I’ll get back to it eventually.
If you enjoy RY4’s and tobacco’s for DL I have Silver Bullet, Empire, Bourbon Cookie RY4 and now Temple in a steady rotation. For pod systems and mtl I have Ohossoho by the Juice Fairy and my gold seal fresh tobacco remix going all day everyday for years now.
No such thing as an adv for me. I do however have an adv genre. Tobacco’s all day long. Whatever I feel at the time. Sometimes a little berry. Sometimes spice. Sometimes desert. But always bacco’s!
My ADV is a private recipe from my good friend Dan Baker (JMW Premium) Its his signature Blueberry Custard. It generally is always running in something.
However, i always have my current favorites or whatever i am working on cycling in and out of rotation. My 2023 top 5 have been my

I ve only tried OhoSsOhO (8 days steeping so far) from the above And got to say I find it ok but a bit Heavy and weird I think its the high meringue % at first it disgusted me but I got used to it .
I ve tried only simple recipes cause I am waiting for a better scale to be delivered
doing ry4 double at 7% and enjoying it a lot also tried EM RY4 Double And pistachio and it turned out ok

Yeah that recipe needs the full 2 weeks to hit it’s prime. The meringue is much more bearable and the Soho comes out. And also only good in MTL devices . I tried dripping it once and was disgusted lol

You think Not using any sweetener at all or adding very little EM or tfa sweetener will be fine?
