Well…3 of my own mixes in and the wife likes them all. Makes me feel good knowing she likes them, that I made on my own and…saving money.
Now to wait a good while to try my mixes as they are not flavors she likes and they need a good steep. Makes it super easy to buy more supplies with her on board .
theres something you dont see too often with newer mixers, good on ya fella, this made me smile . usually its “3 of my mixes in & 3 of my mixes down…the drain”. or even sometimes goes somethin like “why does my diy juice have no taste, fuck this shit commercial is way better, now change my diaper for me or ill screan” lol.
& having the misses on board has made your flavour purchases a whole lot easier for sure, if shes enjoying your first ever mixes then its only a matter of time before she refuses to even vape commercial juices anymore, i actually gag when i try to vape commercial juice now, most of them anyway.
Keep up the good work pal, happy wife happy life & all that, lol
Thanks. I think the biggest thing is we aren’t too picky. I’ll take the last few drops of a bottle too empty to put in tank, and slowly fill a bottle with what we have affectionately called the swamp juice. It’s the oh shit i forgot to order juice bottle😂.
That being said…done alot of cooking over the years and I approach making juice the same way…the food might not be that great this time but i won’t be wasting it. Usually I am pretty good at knowing what works for food and mixing with spices. I just treat the making of a juice the same way. For me it will be learning the better %'s, so as I get a flavor made I put the notes down…then if needed I will adjust for the next batch.
I do fully expect that I will have bad flavors…but they can always mix with better flavors to use up and that isn’t me making a bad flavor…just me perfecting the next batch.
Right now I have a Creme Brulee, Blood Orange and Brandy mix (my own)I am steeping. Smells great but I am waiting for a good 3wk or more steep. Every week I will try a drop taste test.
Besides all that…I’m totally enjoying this…so an inevitable failure…just part of the process.
Hey man! I do the same thing as you with regards to treating it like cooking. If I don’t like a juice that I made, I let it steep longer, and if necessary, add to it. I have not poured anything down the drain yet. Of course there are some I won’t make again, but they were vapable nonetheless. Keep up the great job!!!
Thank you. I do fully expect I will have ones I don’t like. But I figure as long as I took notes and read those notes I can adjust accordingly. I figure they were flavors I knew I’d like, so there has to be something in there.
That’s the way to do it. Mix it up and take lots of notes. Once you get to knowing more about your flavors you’ll learn which ones work well with other flavors. And as always don’t be afraid to pick brains. There are a lot of amazing mixers on here that have a wealth of knowledge.
Fantastic !! Great to hear. I remember how pleased I was when I mixed juices for my apartment mate and two friends who each said they enjoyed them. One of my friends still texts me compliments and I’ve been mixing for her for about 2 years. Fully enjoy the experience !!
