Yep! Thats why I decided to drill holes in my shelf boards. I know for a fact that as soon as I’d stick my hand in, I’d knock the fuckers over and they would all fall down like dominoes.

This is what I’m currently using as a “work bench” more like work stool. It’s a horse grooming supplies toolbox. Lol it was free though. Can’t beat free. Like all this wood. I picked up a baby pallet from the hardware store, I have enough to finish the work bench. I’m excited!!! Turns out this is really fun. Gives me something to do, feels like I’m working, and I actually like working.

No messing. I see you like to get shit done, planning on building a cabinet, have nothing one day, next day its all sanded/stained etc, looking good its coming along nicely. How you making the doors? Hinges? Or putting them on a slide rail?

Yeah, I think it’s fun, and since it’s only just getting warm out in taking these days to my advantage. I’m gonna make it out of these pallet pieces, I plant on gluing/clamping them together. I got some hinges, it’s gonna be a hinged door.

I think 4. Bull City Flavors had some sale where it was cheaper to buy 4 10 ml bottles, than the equivalent larger bottle. LOVE salted caramel, so it seemed like a good idea at the time.
'Twas my fist time purchasing flavors. I had JUST discovered the world of DIY and knew nothing about how much of this, that, those and the others that I needed. Found BCF’s I was a like a kid in a candy store!
Didn’t think about shelf life. Vanilla extract gets better with age, right? None of my stuff is more than 1 year old as of this month, and google says the average shelf life is UP-TO 2 years.
Either way, I think I spent less that $4.00 for them. Probably have to toss some… Live and learn. It’s explaining it to the woman I let think wears the pants in the family that I’m worried about.

I would only toss flavors if they smell bad. Ive only had 1or 2 go totally rancid on me. It seems like the ones with alcohol in them can get funky.

Yeah i wouldnt worry too much about shelf life, i have seen people using almost 10yr old flavourings with no issues, just wondered if i was seeing that right is all,lol.

Worked for a company based in Grand Haven, Mi. (30 miles north of Holland) that sent me to L.A. Ca. on business. The IT manager took me to a restaurant on the ocean and asks if I’ve ever seen so much water. Ummm. Remember this past summer when you were in Grand Haven? Could you see Chicago from there?
I remember my mother making me wear those damn things one year! Fortunately, I had an older sister who suggested I wear several layers of socks!

Not really, I don’t have any background in working construction. I doubt they would hire me. I actually have a cousin that’s looking for work in construction and he actually has a work background, he hasnt been able to find a job either.

I finally have my door. I want scavenging for wood this morning and I found a couple of his pallets with these skinny wood planks. I just lined some up and it’s perfectly 25 and 1/2 inches. Just what I need. I’m going to arrange the pieces, clamp them together, and to get it all together in one piece before I cut the ends and finish it. That way it’s all one piece being finished all at once. The boards are very long, I’m going to cut them after it’s all glued together and nice and sturdy.
