Here It Is...Turbo Steep!

I just cracked open a full 100ml PET bottle yesterday that was mixed with 3mg nic in May 2019 and it taste fine

Nice. I have a 2 year old 3mg juice in PET that also looks ok. If it was a good recipe I’d probably be vaping it. But I tested a drop on an RDA the other day and yep… that recipe still sucks.

The only reason I stopped reusing PET bottles is it doesn’t take long for them to crack with repeated use. Especially if you are trying to squeeze VG nicotine through the tiny tips on them. That is why I use pipettes like these…

Edit: you can get these in various tip diameters. 2mm, 3mm, etc. If you use PG nic, grab smaller ones. Also, the bigger the tip size, the less precise your drops will be. Just a heads up.

They are on the way. Four cents a hit isn’t bad at all.

DIY all the way. A man after my own heart. I saw a scientist talking about this on a vid disclaiming the need for expensive lab grade homogenizers. It was a bit more entailing with more expensive parts but similar to what you explained.

that reminds me of Heisenberg… and my old theory of how they made it…

Although I’ve never really had great luck “turbo’ing” anything, and I’ve tried a few, I have had great luck with seeding batches, but I’m always on the prowl for new tips, and tricks.

What do you mean by seeding

@zzzdreamerzzz, @Ed133, (and all), I had been responding via PM’s but I’ve received soo many, I’ll repost it up here, as this is a STEEPING thread, what the hell.

I have seen and tried MORE “Super Duper Steeping” methods then I’ll ever admit, and most failed, or altered my juice, and none took hold. In the beginning I was taught by a guy who was a fairly large mixer/vendor in New Jersey whom I was buying juice from. Great guy, taught me a lot about his style, his methods, business, etc. Sadly when the PTMA started picking up steam, he sold off most of his recipes, and shut his doors. He still mixes at a much smaller scale and we still talk.

One of the things that he shared with me was “Batch Seeding”, or “Seeding”. It is not new, and been around for quite a while, and cannot compete with the instant gratification of homogenization, but none the less, I’ve had great success with it over the years.

I originally started doing this with 1L batches (or larger), wherein I would mix up a large batch, let it fully mature, and bottle up for sale or use, and save some of that first batch. When mixing up a FRESH batch of the identical recipe, a small portion of the ORIGINAL batch would be introduced (seeded) into the NEW batch, SEEDING the new batch.

My experience was that batches that would take 4 weeks (or so) to mature/steep/finish, would do so, and at a faster rate when seeded. I’ve tried this with batches as small as 30ml with the same results. Who knows what is happening, I just had great results, and kept using it. Results always matter to me, and far more so than hype, BS, or blathering LOL.

As like all aspects of DIY, you have to find what works for you, and in the style that you mix. If it doesn’t work, try something new.

In closing, I will just say, that one of the BIGGEST turbo methods I’ve seen, was from our one and only @Rocky02852, wherein I think he had some juice, a plastic bottle, and a microwave !!!

Kidding Rock, took some balls to post that pic brother, and you can use my MWave anytime you want.

So that’s what seeding is! I’ve been doing that for years LOL. I usually mix up about 300ml of juice, let it all blend together for about 3 weeks and reserve about 80ml or so then add a new 300ml to it. It does seem to shave off a few days and the results are a richer vape (or so it appears to me).

Hehe, welcome to Team Seed @Lostmarbles. I’ve actually had it take 2 weeks off some mixes, so it’s not instant, and it seems to vary depending on the mix, but sometimes things just work.

Yeah @SessionDrummer Nuke it baby!
I can take 10ml and make it 15ml in under 1 minute flat!  :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

That is a great idea and it could save time in more ways than one. Instead of washing my bottle when I am making a batch of the same juice it gets seeded with the leftover juice. Thanks Sess.

Well I don’t want to be responsible for you not washing bottles, hehe. PLEASE use caution, and YOU try it out, see IF it works out for you. Nothing is magic, and which flavors are involved does make a difference, but you decide. You’re welcome @zzzdreamerzzz.

I’m new to this and just bought a hot water bath. What temperature should I have it at and how long should I leave my juice in it and should I leave the lid on my juice or off. Please help
