So I usually mix at 40pg/60vg. I noticed my last couple of mixes that things were a bit more watery. Didn’t think of it really until my last mix and realize I was doing almost equal parts of vg/pg. Then I realize my calculator some how got changed and I’ve been mixing at 60pg/40vg. Odd. Haven’t noticed much of a taste difference. Maybe liked it better.
Had a similar mishap once. I mix at 25/75. For reasons that I still can’t fathom I grabbed my bottle of PG twice during a mixing sesh, thinking it was the VG. I remember thinking the VG seemed pretty watery, but i failed to notice I had the wrong base until it was too late. 60ml batch down the the drain.
Back in ‘15/‘16 @daath urged me to mix higher PG… due to PG being a better flavor carrier than VG. I’ve never gone lower than 60PG (usually 70PG/30VG base mix) since I made the switch. My vaping life has been wonderful because of the switch. IMO, flavors do “pop” so much more!
I’ve been using 60/40 for years now. In my last mixing session I mixed up a bunch of ADVs at 50/50…just because. I’m going back to 60/40, maybe even 65/35 to get more flavor.
