Pauly Walnuts was going downstairs.
Pauly Walnuts had a very big scare!
He missed the 5th step and fell to the floor,
He broke his fall with his nose; there was a huge splash of gore.
He has 8 stitches between his eyebrows,
Now it looks like a unibrow.
He put a hole in his lip with his top row of teeth,
He loosened a tooth; he’s in a whole lot of grief.
He was put back together by doctors and nurses.
During the process, he said a long string of curses.
During the stay they set aside time, to pay close attention and watch him.
About 2 in the morning, he had a small stroke, so they installed a Watchman at three on the stroke.
He had long been on blood thinners due to an AFib,
He’ll no longer need them, but he’ll still wear a bib.
(He knows that was lame, but they did as he bid.)
Now he’s at home and as well as can be,
Soon a specialist will tell him he needs to be seen.
If there’s a moral to the story, it’s that you shan’t worry.
He’s tough old fart as he’s been from the start.
That’s done! The ambulance didn’t want to take me to a bigger – better, hospital some 20 minutes away since I was losing so much blood. This town is made up of 20,000 people and the emergency room is a freaking horse hospital.
I hate that damn hospital! I don’t know what they were watching, some milestones when they drew blood. The first time what ever they were watching was higher than it should have and when they checked it two hours later it had doubled. Some markers that indicated I might have a heart attack or a stroke, soon.
Their supposed to check it every 2 hours. There were FOUR hours between the 2nd and 3rd, and that’s when they discovered the mini stroke. I was beginning to slur my words, but I’d been up for 20 hours and was freaking tired, so I didn’t think anything of it.
Their charge station was right outside of my room and the nurses were LOUD! Campground voice? WTF is that? I asked three different people to ask that the voices be lowered but I’m sure the message was not shared.
3:40 am, I got up to walk into other rooms. NO ONE was sleeping! By the time I was released, I had been up for some 29 hours! I think the stroke could have been avoided had they given me some blood thinners. It’s like DUH! My wife would have been rich had I died!
She used to teach advanced cardio logical life support to other nurses and paramedics! She knows her way around a heart. That’s how she stole mine. I’ve been in MANY a hospital and I’ve never heard such disrespect. I told the charge nurse; people got into the health care field because they… CARED about health. Isn’t sleep healthy? She actually said, whataya want us to do, speak quietly? TF?
