I can assure you that you have at least one…
I am not much of anything, but I will always be available to help in my small capacity.
God bless you, my dear friend.
Thanks for yesterday. It helped a lot.
I am trying to find an affordable home security system thet I c an grab for now so I can have some piece of mind and be able to go to work on Monday. So far nothing I can buy local looks promising. Anybody have any experience with wireless home security devices?
Also, I noticed the bastards not only made off with my Sky RC charger, they also took my 4 bay Nitecore charger. It keeps getting worse.
YES on the security system…give me a few minutes to find the link…
Best Buy has the Logitech Logi Circle which has very good reviews. Free Cloud storage is awesome too.I think I will grab that unless you know of something better.
Years ago my home was wired by ADT, then a few years later, re-wired by them for an upgrade…
I don’t remember the exact cost(s), but it was $1000’s…and I paid a hefty monthly fee.
Times have changed, as ADT also has, but they are still expensive, and my friends/neighbor has their newest version and it is great…I even have a phone app that I can monitor when they go on vacation and watch out for them from across the road…but they still pay $100/mo.
I now use Simply-Safe, and they have systems that have been returned and discounted for sale.
You can buy just what you need to configure to what you want…pretty much.
I am no salesman for them, but I trust the system and the company.
Research them and see if it may work for you.
DUH…[old fart syndrome]…
I never put a link…here:
That looks nice. But I think something with cameras will work better. Since I am betting I know the crooks that did this I will at least be able to ID them. If I have to rely on the police showing up in time I could possibly still be robbed and no idea who did it still.
I dont even know u dude, but FUCK that sucks!!! The material stuff doesnt even matter, but when its pictures and memories, thats hits the spot bigtime. Hope they catch the thief. Keep ya head up anyway bro, atleast no1 was hurt in the process of things. I feel ya tho!
Well WTF? I have cameras. I will get the spouse to pull the paperwork out when she gets home…
Can’t leave me home alone for nothin’…
Security is best in layers. Glass break and door/window sensors, camera system with cloud storage, and something with a large head complete with big sharp teeth and serious malice that also conveniently doubles as an excellent friend and companion.
Oh yes, a dog is an excellent thing to have couldnt imagine life without my girl… she probably doubles as security (american bull dog) never really thought of her like that.
@LordVapor all you can do is to hope that old saying comes true in spades. What goes around comes around.
Yes, have no doubt, the bulldog has value in protection. Even a little ankle biter has value of alerting you to someone trying to get in while you are home. The deep bark of a large dog can be really intimidating.
errrm Not the little English bull dog… Cash is one of these
You hang in there brother. You can’t change what’s happened and you can’t get too down on humanity for it. Your world will stabilize again in time. In the meantime, get a dog. It’s nice to have something to come home to that looks forward to seeing you and they’re protective as hell.
My security system consists of a terrier mutt who wakes up at the sound of an ant farting, a Boston Terrier who likes to rally the troops, a black lab that will kill anything that threatens her family and a Malamute that looks scary as hell when he’s on alert. My neighbors rarely come around and when they do, they knock and assume a “get ready to run” pose when I open the door.
Oh I know what an American Bulldog is. I just meant any dog is better than no dog.
opps I thought you thought my dog was a lap dog which well wouldnt be too far off since she think she is a lap dog
I absolutely agree with the dog idea this is me with myTeacup Chihuahua, she didn’t grow any bigger,
admittedly… I am probably not the right person to give advice on guard dogs…and my other dog is old and deaf so…yeah…
It’s not the size of the dog in the fight ,it’s more about the size of the fight in the dog…
I am sure that saying originated from a chihuahua owner.
