How I build Stove Top Coils

Deal!!!

If I get a chance Iā€™ll give it a shot, too. We can compare notes  Hmm, now I have to find an atty I want to use.

Well, I got bored today. Unfortunately, the smallest one I have
is a 5/8" and the slope is too much to make a coil that will fit
in anything I own. I need an RDA with a 60mm base.

I was looking around at things I could use, too. I have a set of jewelerā€™s beading pliers that might work. I found the perfect deck on the NextEra RTA BF. Itā€™s designed for vertical coils only. The only thing I donā€™t care for is that the AF isnā€™t close to the coil the way I like it. Nevertheless, it is a flavorful atty.

Hey @Dan_the_Man what atty was that, at the end of your vid?

I think heā€™s on hiatus. I sent him a PM a week ago, no response.

Oh okay, TZ. Well, I think Iā€™ll continue with the thread anyway because Iā€™ve been on a Stove Top rant lately.

After getting obsessed with Stove Top coils (aka Lolly Coil according to Damn Vape) I found this jewelry maker with a whole new spiral wire idea which i think will work better for us as vapers. Also, after seeing Jaybo demonstrate the Lolly Coil maker tool, I decided it was a waste of money because the tool does not make a Lolly Coil like the premade ones they give you, far from it. There are better spiral maker tools in jewelry products but not so relevant to vape coils in order to give you two legs to insert in your posts. Here is a jeweler making a two legged spiral:

All I did was keep the two ends longer and then you can bend them to accommodate your posts. I practiced with some cheap hobby wire (18/19g) and got this:

Iā€™m not very good at this kind of stuff and Iā€™m telling you it wasnā€™t very hard to do. This was my first try. Btw, that was 7" of wire but much bigger than I would need for an RDA.

ETA: What I like about this jeweler is that he only uses the pliers at the very beginning and the rest is all human hands. No danger in scratching up your coil.

That looks awesome!

Hey thx! Iā€™m telling you, I found it easier than the common way of wrapping spirals.

What the fuck? I have never seen anything like this before! ā€¦itā€™s freaking awesome! Wow! Do you get better flavor? And if so why?? I never understood why ā€¦right now im using lazy mesh that you just lossen off and tighten on cuz its easy. But I often wonder what coil if any is best.
I have these straight ones that are like wrapped around eachother but have no idea how to install them. Now im curious.

Very cool!
Gotta love the DIY community at large. Thereā€™s always another way to get things done.

Yeah, I was just interested in exactly what @Dan_the_Man was sayingā€¦how to do a flavor test quickly. The Stove Top does make sense for this, as long as you have an RDA that will work with it. Any Velocity style will do, I suppose. Even just a regular two post deck and if you can position the air close enough to the coils to hit them dead on. I need to experiment with it.
