Im running out of ejuice and need to make my own. Im heading for no nicotine, no pg, straight up vg and flavoring. Maybe a 95vg/5pg, meaning only 5 percent of flavouring. Using 15ml and 30ml bottles.
I know the amount of VG I should use for my bottles but dont know what ratio I should use for my flavouring. Maybe a strawberry banana. I need a perfect ratio to get the best batch for my first time. Just need the flavour percentages or millilitres. The rest is pouring in the rest of the VG.
If you go to the recipe page and type max VG in the search bar there will be a whole range of recipes for you to choose from. Enjoy!
Ps VG is not as good a flavour carrier as PG so you probably have to up the amount of flavour, 5% isnāt a lot, or you could get yourself VG based flavourings.
There are a lot of Strawnana recipes on ELR if I see one that mixes pg/vg that high Iāll let you know. You might have a hard time getting 95%vg if your flavors are PG base.
Natures flavours are VG based flavours, that way you can have a higher percentage of flavour and keep the VG to the max.
Like @Josephine_van_Rijn said, using such high levels of VG means youāll need a little more flavoring than you normally would. Any recipe can be adapted for Max VG. Just click the blue wrench and click āAdapt this.ā Where it asks for the desired PG/VG % click the max VG button. Put 0 in for your nicotine in both the desired and āhaveā and 100% VG for nic liquid. It will adjust all the values to give you the max VG you can get with that recipe.
There you go. You could do a 100% vg mix.
If I were to guess-timate a percentage of average flavor in a recipe I would say around 15%. I would look into those VG flavors Josephine_van_Rijn mentioned. Your going to need those unless you like the low flavor.
So Im looking for flavour but not too much, more as a cloud chasing juice. So I should get a vg based flavour? I understand this all but I just donāt know how much flavouring to use so my batch wont taste all chemically. And I could also drop it down to a lets say 90% vg and 10% vg flavour which is basically 100%vg I guess? ugghh my mind
I used to make a 95%VG & 5% flavoring for a friend of mine all the time, til he started making his own. TFA ginger ale, green tea and/or black tea was the flavoring, but you can use whatever you want. He loved it!
Reason was his wife didnāt like strong smells in the house. It worked for him.
There are no chemicals in Natures Flavours.
So basically use a calculator and mix up until I find my perfect balance of flavors? I guess Iāll get the hang of it. As for nature flavors , since I dont order online that much where can I find these flavorings? Maybe in a supermarket or a pharmacy? I get vg over her for dirt cheap.
Yep, thatās it basically, it is al trial and error. Some people need more flavour before they taste anything, others not. It also depends on the flavour. What Iāve learned on this site is that people put a drop of flavour in 10 ml of water, swirl it around and then taste it like you do with wine. That will give you an indication on how strong the flavour is.
Getting natures flavours in a physical shop will depend on where you live. They sell it at ECX http://www.ecigexpress.com/diy-e-liquid/diy-e-liquid-flavors/natures-flavors.html
If you are in the US, they do have shops too.
I came up with a mix a second ago, 27ml of vg,2ml of strawberry and 1ml of banana. This is about 90%vg, 7%strawberry and 3% banana. These should steep before vaping, In pretty sure of that. What If I cant find nature flavours?
Steeping does make it better. If you canāt get Natures Flavours, you can just use any other flavour you can get your hands on. You will then have some PG in your mix, but not much.
I understand you want to chase clouds, ever tried to vape VG without flavour. Iāve heard about people vaping straight VG, it is kinda sweet. If you like it straight up, you will have very cheap juice
I have tried that when I was trying to save my ejuice and its pretty sweet and smeels weird when you Vape it. Thank you. Now all I need to do is buy some bottles, flavoring, needle with measurements, and some vg. Lets see what I can do.Anything I should watch out in terms of flavors? Like diacetyl? or if thatās how spell it.
You can still click max VG at the calculator, that is the base. Any flavour you add which is PG will automatically be subtracted from the amount of VG. Diacetyl is something that some people worry about and others not. If it is present in a juice it is a very small amount. There are people who prefer flavours that contain it. Custard for instance from Capella has two kinds; v1 contains Diacetyl and v2 doesnāt. There are quit a number of people who prefer the first. I am personally not that worried about it. I smoked 44 years and have inhaled so much shit with my tobacco that a trace amount of something or other in my vape is the least of my worries.
