It can be a pain to build on but there is plenty of room for the build.
Only been using it for an hour but seems good so far. Tons of flavour and no leaks.

I have the tornado, I’ve used both decks. The T4 is easier to build on than the T6, of course. They both have good flavor, but it takes lots of power to get the T6 up and running and it gets hot. I only put 4 coils on my T6, 6 woulda been some tiny coils, ID wise. Its definitely worth adding to my collection, but it doesn’t win a spot in my daily rotation, though.
Tornado comes without spare glass or 510 driptip adapter, so you have to use the proprietary short wide bore mouthpiece and put your lips on the topcap. . Building is a pita. Deck spins freely until you put a tool thru the airflow/centerpin, then is just wiggles back and forth. After installing coils, to check build resistance you have to install the barrel/chimney, which is one piece with the top cap. The barrel won’t come off the chimney, so you can’t get to the coils for dryburning, squeezing, conditioning etc. You can look down thru the topcap and chimney to see the coils so you can kind of tell how they are glowing. So it’s off with the top cap/chimney to install coils, on with the topcap/chimney to check resistance, off with the topcap/chimney to adjust coils, back on with the topcap/chimney to recheck resistance, off with the topcap/chimney to wick, etc. etc. I tried completing the circuit by sticking a screwdriver between the side of the deck and exterior of the atty but could not get a consistent contact and resistance was bouncing around on the meter. The build deck is not as big as they implied, I was able to get a dual 6 wrap 3mm i.d. framed staple in it but that was a tight squeeze. The tank is not 5ml, I was able to get 3.6ml in it with primed coils. I wicked it with a basically normal amount of cotton, and while I was putting the hypo away half of the juice in the tank drained out. Luckily it wasn’t on my ohm meter, it was in a stand but still there was juice all over the table. Re wicked with more cotton and it only leaked about 1ml out and stopped. But when I went to refill, it did the same thing. So I stuffed as much cotton in it as would fit and no more leaking. No dry hits either, was kind of surprised at that with all that cotton but the juice holes are large. There is no juice flow control. For me it needs to be run with airflow full open, and in the mid 90 watts to get good vapor. Less air or lower watts is a mediocre vape at best. And of course at full open like that it is a juice guzzler. Flavor and vapor production at wide open/high wattage is very good. I’m sitting here looking at the Tornado, and trying to think of some good things to say about it, but all I can come up with is it has a nice large side fill juice port. Yeah, I pretty much hate this pos, and if I had paid more than the 25 bucks delivered I would be really pissed.
Watch the review by djlsb…that barrel does come off. And as for the drip tip adapter, read the back of the box, it should have one in the box. I purchased two, one from sourcemore and one from another company I can’t remember…the one from sourcemore didn’t have the adapter with it so I’ve been tangled in a lengthy email spat with them…
The first time I filled mine, juice leaked almost immediately out and after that I packed the rayon in there almost silly-full…I couldn’t believe it kept wicking after that with no dry hits. You’re right on that…
Hey, I just reread my words to you I and it sounded kinda strong. Sorry, definitely NOT my intention…I’m on your side, just tryna help out.
Give that barrel a strong turn, it’ll come off that top cap…and the drip tip adapter? I’d be sending an email out, because yeah, you’re right, that wide bore drip tip sucks, especially after the high watts you gotta feed this thing.
Good to know about the barrel, I’ll put the pliers to it now that I know it comes off. I found a mouthpiece in my driptip box from something else that fits right in the widebore. If I can remember where I got it, FT or 3F probably, I’ll send them an email, but not going to hold my breath on actually getting one.
No worries on the wording, I’m all growed up now so my feelings were not hurt.
Yes I’m aware that they only lied a little bit on the measurement. What is more important is what will fit inside the chimney. I can get a bigger coil in the Griffin 22 than will fit it the Tornado. If all you are using are 5 wrap coils, it’s plenty big enough.
Perhaps I got a pre-production unit as there is nothing on the box that states package contents, so unlikely that I can get the driptip adapter.
Moot point anyways, it’s already sitting in the rack and will eventually be given away to someone I don’t like very well.
Got my Tornado up and running. On a scale from 1-10 I’ll give this one a 7. Would be a 7.5 but…
First problem was one of the post grub screws. They were all in very tight but one so tight I stripped the head trying to remove it. Worked on that last night for about 30 minutes till I threw it against the wall of my desk and let out several expletives.
Second problem is the o-ring in the base. It’s very flimsy for something that should be sealing something. It also has no seat, rather it just sits on a ledge. Booo!
Now some may gripe about the build deck. The same gripe as with the Moonshot. Personally I don’t have an issue with it. It’s not hard just different. Well if you have hooves instead of fingers or limited use of your hands then yes, it’s a royal pain. But otherwise it’s not hard to build on or to wick. I cut the wick tails so the ends would sit flush to the deck. Wet and tucked…easy peasy. Overall I say ease of build is 8 out of 10.
Last problem. Maybe I have a bit of vaper’s tongue today. I’m not getting much flavor from it. But design-wise it seems it should have great flavor so I’ll hold off judgment for later. One thing I find annoying is when I closed airflow some to try and get more flavor it started to whistle a little bit. I HATE that! So it needs to be nearly wide open to avoid the whistling. Vapor production is really good.
As for the drip tip - I didn’t get an adapter either. But it is quite comfortable to me. I just prefer my glass or acrylic ones. So like @Johan I robbed one from my driptip box (for the Griffin I think) and using one of my other tips. Right now enjoying it ok just need that flavor to improve. If that happens I will probably use this tank a good bit. Otherwise it will go on the shelf with the other misfit toppers.
I need to correct myself. In the previous post I said the o-ring in the base has no seat. That was incorrect. You’d think at 50 I would learn to stop trusting my eyes. It does have a seat - little lip that holds it in place. Sorry for the misinformation.
