Eeeediots!
ā€¦but what does it smell like??
by the way, there isnt a wizard at Hogwarts that wouldnt kill for a black alder wand!..all you need now is a unicorn hair & a phoenix featherā€¦

I have no idea. I havenā€™t opened the package cause I want to return it soā€¦ Havenā€™t got a reply from them yet and getting a bit pissed.
Edit; I have opened it now and I canā€™t say I smell anything. Supposed to be smokey and fruity. Mind you, youā€™re supposed to put it on a barbecue after soaking them in water for about 40 minutes, to prevent them from bursting into flames.

Well, thats boringā€¦ fingers crossā€™d you get a better wiff from the cedar when it comesā€¦

Coolā€¦ so, maybe on monday, when us cedar hunters all get to our desks & find a mysterious ā€¦& pungent little bottle marked ā€œThe Cedarā€, weā€™ll know where it came fromā€¦? (Iā€™ve heard hair of the dog & a chicken feather will sufficeā€¦at a pinch,ā€¦ if that helps at all!)

Ah, you should have told me that earlier, now the dog has a bold spot and the chicken is plucked.

Ok @Josephine_van_Rijn & @Jimkā€¦ I do believe I may have hit the pay dirtā€¦

My latest batch of flavors came in yesterday from an Aussie vendor called The Juice Factory. Among them were a couple of tobaccos of their own brand. I was looking for something equivalent to TPA Mild Black which I cant get over here. I asked them if they were familiar with MB ā€¦ā€œyesā€ ā€¦& could they recommend something similar ā€¦ ā€œYeah mate, you could try our JF French Pipe super concentrateā€. So I did. Took a sniffā€¦Not even remotely like MB, but hmmmā€¦ gee, does smell nice thoughā€¦ hang on a minute!..Nah!.. couldnt be!! ā€¦could it??
So, I put together 10ml at 3% w 5mg. ā€¦Holy crap, damn near blew my head off! & theres no subtle cedar back-notes here! Itā€™s full on!!

Now, bare in mind, it had all of 10 min steeping (just couldnt help myselfā€¦it did get a super vigorous shake though), & it is alcohol based, so it could be quite a different story after a week of steep & some breathing, but my first impression, apart from the in-ya-face cedar, (ā€¦& that next time we go 1%), was that it was much more cigar than pipe (contrary to 1 or 2 of the reviews), & that our Holy Grail may well have been discovered!. WHOO-HOO!! (he yelps, at this stage, somewhat reservedly!)
So, Iā€™ll dilute my 10ml down to 30ml, let it breath over night, & put it away for a good long steep ā€¦well, Iā€™ll check it again in a week & report in. But I expect its going to be very very good!

The other tobacco I got was one called Black fire- also a JF alcohol based super concentrate, but so far, Iā€™ve paid absolutely no attention to that, but just for interests sake, Iā€™ll keep you posted about that one too.
These guys have have quite a few of their own ā€œJFā€ brand super-concentrate tobaccos. Iā€™m waiting for confirmation that they are actually their own brand & not re-branded. That said, I notice that both of you have used INW French Pipe before, & as I havent heard either of you ā€œwhoo-Hooingā€ after using it, I can only assume, at this stage, that the JF FP is unique. check it outā€¦ & the rest of their tobaccos.

ā€¦& in the meantime, watch this space!

Ah, the curse of too many flavours and not enough time :grinning: I just dug it out of my cupboard where it stood steeping for about 3 months now, mixed at 3.5%. The picture looks almost identical, INW has the pipe laying on its side. Their description is; chocolate undertones, cocoa, vanilla and cavendish tobacco on the inhale, and a slight floral note on the exhale, peanuts and a soft biscuit after taste. Iā€™m not sure Iā€™m getting all of that. Certainly not peanuts and biscuit. It is a pretty interesting flavour though. Iā€™m curious how yours will turn out after a good steep. The black fire Iā€™ve got from FA and I recently got a dark fire by INW, not sure if there is a difference between the two. The dark fire is steeping now and I have used the black fire only in a mix so far, I should really try it by itself, but havenā€™t got around it yet. I will end like I started, too many flavours, too little time AND too lazy! Iā€™m almost sure @Jimk has a similar story

No fricken kidding! So many flavorsā€¦so little time! :pensive:

Well, @vonTrueso ā€¦sounds like you have found the Holy Grail there! Bully for you! I am still on the hunt, pleasantly surprised with the INW Don Hill (slight cedar note) and continuing my search! But it sounds like we might have to be doing some international shipping here! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: Thatā€™s quite alright, if it means thereā€™s a good solid flavor for us tobacco folk. Well done @vonTrueso! :+1:

Iā€™ve checked out their site and with all flavours it will say at the top what brand it is. This one says JF so I assume itā€™s their own.

Hmm, thanks Jim, but I dont think I can claim that for buying a flavor that hasnt worked as intended (remember, I was looking for a Mild Black like). I will, however, go with the serendipity of the situation! Gotta love a happy accident! :grinning:

ā€¦might have to get you on the NET train; sniff a few black and mild cigars in a shop, find the one you like and NET that puppy! You might wind up being able to make exactly what you want in a tobacco vape. :+1:

ā€¦& it may well be!..
Folks, JF have just this second replied to my branding questionā€¦

ā€œWe donā€™t manufacture them, they are made by a lesser known
manufacturer who also supply VapingZone.com in the USA.ā€

Bibidy-Bang!.. right on your doorstep Buddy!
But, let me see how this stuff steeps before you go shellin out the moola!

Well, Iā€™m at ā€˜the stationā€™ā€¦ Iā€™ve recently done a successful coffee extraction!. my first. So the next logical step (maybe after some teas), would be a NET. Iā€™d just have to stop myself from smokin it first!

Just hit meā€¦ VapingZone super concentrated flavors are well thought of in the NET Facebook group I deal with; take a look around in the group (once youā€™ve joined) and youā€™ll see the name vaping zone thrown around a lot. My guess is like yoursā€¦whoever supplies VZ supplies JF with the same liquids.
