Is Ethyl Vanillin 10% the same as Vanillin 10% PG-TFA

Is Ethyl Vanillin 10% the same as Vanillin 10% PG-TFA

I’m looking at a recipe that is calling for Ethyl Vanillin 10%, I have Vanillin 10% TFA

I look around before asking, I’m trying to keep stupid questions to a minimum.

Could I maybe sub Ethyl Vanillin 10% with the Vanillin 10%, say double to start and work up if needed? I looked at Bull City, Liquid Barn and ecigexpress (the only places I’ve ordered from) with no luck.

Ethyl vanillin is about 3x the strength of vanillin. You could try it double the strength first.

If the flavor of your juice starts to mute, you’ll know you’ve overdone it. Vanillin is a muting ingredient when used too much, just like Ethyl Maltol, Maltol, and some others.
Just saying so you know what’s going on when it happens.
