I have been mixing only for myself using FW Grape Soda for about 1 1/2 years and it has always been clear with a nice grape smell. I have just opened a new 120 ml and went to mix with it, and the coloring was a yellow/amber color. Is this normal? I reached out to where I purchased it and was they are a reseller/bottler and that is what is in the jug on their shelf Yellow/amber color. Just wanting to know if anyone else has seen or had this with FW Grape Soda. Thank you
Per Flavor West:
Grape Soda Flavoring: Contains Propylene Glycol and Sucralose along with Natural & Artificial ingredients.
Flavor/Aroma: Sweet Grape
Color: Clear
Country Of Origin: USA
Solubility: Soluble in water
They do list as Clear, however it’s also listed as a natural and artificial flavoring,
Natural flavorings will vary from batch to batch because of the natural aspect of the flavoring, the season of the crop and the raw material that is sourced at the time of manufacture…
Also it could be an old batch from the re-seller, try it and see if the taste is okay!
Sorry for the delay. Thank you for the above answer. I made the recipe I have been making with this and it is not the same. Instead of a grape soda flavor I get a Thrills gum( the gum that tastes like soap) not a fan. I guess I will need to find another place to purchase it here in Canada.
