Thank you, that means a lot to me.
Okay, so far here’s our suggestions for “Base” assignment’s this year. Feel free to add more suggestions! We’ll probably have to use the randomizer wheel to pick future months…
Strawberry
Blueberry
Custard
Cream
Cheesecake
Pie Crust
Pancake
Milk
Peach
Cookie
Milk & Honey
Ice Cream
Lemonade
Watermelon
Tobacco
S’mores
( Don’t forget to get to work on your Custard base ahead of time! )
Well, if M&H is going up there, I’m going to have to add S’mores.
Well I didn’t suggest M&H, but it could be the Base for anything!
and S’mores is the base for WHaT?, state your case and I’ll add it ![]()
We all know Milk n Honey is banned from the wheel but not by my choice
I got your back @SessionDrummer
OK…hold your horses…stop the music
@Rocky02852
M&H is not supposed to be a base FOR something ELSE.
We’re supposed to be creating theeeeee base OF the “pick o’ the month”, actual milk & honey, no? Therefore, your Honor…if it’s FOR something else, then we could say that s’mores
are a great base FOR a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
Tobacco Stone hmmm lemonade , watermelon , pancake , milk and honey not really “stone” type profiles but hey just my .02 worth . Then again as long as it foesnt become a trinity thing im all good
Well, since you asked, not only are S’mores a serious challenge to get right, you can mix that profile into a whole lotta things. Milkshakes, ice creams, pies, cookies, cereals, cakes, CUSTADZ, creams, cupcakes, coffees. Hell, you could be S’mores’n up some tobaccos. One of the FEW things where it wouldn’t work, would probably be fruity fruits, BUT, beyond that, the sky’s the limit.
My thoughts exactly.
Can you tell us what makes a recipe a “stone” and what doesn’t? Or maybe just your interpretation of a “stone”?
We’ll just get a list of suggestions together for now and then weed them out later, we only need 11 more “stone” profiles to finish out 2026. Fiddy doesn’t think M&H, Watermelon, and Lemonade are stone types…
(but he suggested Blueberry, Strawberry)
I think anything that works as stone for the individual mixer is fair game
Keep the suggestions coming. Once I get a list together, maybe we’ll do a poll ?
Added to the list above ![]()
@Rocky02852 if Milk and Honey is officially UN-Allowed, you know what would be next level ?
Deconstructing a hand build M&H !!!
I think we would need more that a month to accomplish that feat…
Then again, if it aint broke- don’t fix it!
Perhaps, but it would be hella interesting to try, and see how people would approach it.
Ya everything can be a “stone” your 100pct correct . For me a stone is taking the best of whats available for that profile and creating the ultimate flavor out of those, to be used as a flavor itself. A great example is this stone…Alisas notes explain how she uses it at 1 pct , and up in different recipes.
of course you can make anything to use as a base/stone whatever …I know Session turns alot of recipe into one shots to make mixing easier but a one shot and a stone are different imo
hope this answers your question @OdieDoodah
That tells me what I already thought → the dividing line between “stone” and “not a stone” is a grey area and very subjective.
Famous Words , right?? Of course it is subjective like coils , cotton , flavors , tanks etc etc. Theres never a wrong opinion.
OK, finally! ![]()
