It will be interesting to see how the Liquid Amber works out, if you can get really close to a clone it will be a monumental feat!

Since you’re in canada, (now i know this isnt a direct answer to any of your questions but) have you considered giving any of the REKA/wrecka tobaccos a shot? You may find something you really like in them (& i believe they do an abdolute? I could be wrong?) Or you may end up trying one & thinking it could fit into what you’re working on? I forget the name of the site in canada that sells reka now, its diy something? Either ejuice or flavours i think?
Just thought id throw that out there.

I looked up tobacco absolutes on both side and come up with no search results unfortunately so I’m left with regular options, I was going to try Inawera for an absolute and no bueno! But I’ll try and check for that today if I get a moment after work

The day Canada post can read an address properly will be the day my package will arrive 
for some reason putting the address 1-111 street name is too hard to figure out. I have to put unit 1 111 street name

According to their guidelines, if you’re in unit 1, the top one is correct.

That’s what I thought but the customer service was saying other wise, luckily my package arrive and I added some liquid amber and hazelnut to my previous mixes so time to let it steep and see, hopefully it rounds off to something close to juuls top note, it’s looking promising

Just incase anyone’s interested this one gave me the best result after steeping surprisingly to be the background notes of juuls virginia tobacco. I have two others that I’m going to be testing if the liquid amber works out well but this may be the closest I’ll be able to get

Will do! So far no luck! It’s been very challenging getting the correct flavor down and it’s cost a lot to try and work together something that gets close! The hardest part now is getting that top not which is beta-damascenone. The liquid amber uses beta damascone which is similar but it’s a totally different finish. After some steeping I know I’m going to have to be above 1% in liquid amber atleast and may almost have to introduce stand alone flavours but I may be missing the top note / first initial flavour entirely without pure damascenone or a flavour that uses that as its primary ingredient.
If anyone knows of a flavour that uses beta damascenone please let me know! If not then it’s going to have to be a pure chemical mix added in which isn’t DIY friendly

FA Candy/Jammy Wizard uses Damascenone and Alpha Damascenone. Does that help?
What about FA Desert Ship? It has Damascenone and appears to be an additive for tobacco flavouring?

Yeah that may help actually, looking into desert ship it may be a good missing link. Would be worth using at no more than .35% I’d say. But I’ll have to wait quite awhile before I can get any other flavours

I may have to put the tests aside for awhile, I’ve only had the one yield a close result but the top note which is the biggest flavour it needs I can’t replicate at all so far

To any interested in testing my closest result and cross examining it to juuls virginia tobacco, this is the recipe, seemed to be about a 5 day steep that I noticed it was very close. Might be my high standards but if anyone can try a small bottle and see what ideas you may have I’d love to hear it! May need something to round it out a bit but see what you think first. Missing beta damascenone, I’m debating ordering the raw chemical just to complete this and call it a wrap but won’t be any time soon
