With having many rda, rta and the gamete to choose from along with all the wires to build with how do you all keep track of what is in which device. Looking for tips I guess as I don’t want to fire up a nickel build on a mech mod etc. I was thinking of numbering like I do batteries but don’t think it will work. I space all of my titanium builds so I know they are not kanthal or nickel. Maybe just do away with all nickel builds that way if its spaced its titanium, if not its kanthal. Ideas?
In my opinion it’s always a good idea to do away with nickel builds. Just don’t trust that wire. Sooo, I vote yes to that Idea. Spaced, ti, if contact, kanthal. Sounds good to me…
Ditto what @ringling said. Scrap the nickel and kanthal and go with titanium and SS. Or you could find some little dot stickers and assign colors to different builds/materials. Then you can stick a little sticker on each tank/rda/etc. to keep them straight.
I’m right there with you @Sultan1966 Great question. I’ve had a plan to get some vape bands but never seem to remember it when I’m shopping. But I also agree with @ringling that Nickel is just something I want to avoid. I’ve not completely done away with Kanthal yet, but damn near. So what do I use? Mostly Titanium, but also some SS and Kanthal.
So I’ve thought every topper I have aside from my drippers would be ok to put on a vape band. My thought is (including Nickel)
Red band - Nickel
White band - Titanium
Blue band - Stainless Steel
Black band or no band - Kanthal
Of course this is just for me. I don’t need fancy or flashy, but some bands with a swirl design also looks good. Then again what would be cool is to have bands that say
Rockin the Ti
Rcoking Stainless
Settling for Kanthal
Vaping Toxic Waste
Maybe get some unique drip tips and come up with a system. Black for kanthal, white for titanium, red for nickel, blue for stainless. Or something like that?
edit: Actually, scratch that, I like @SthrnMixer’s vape band suggestion better.
