Notice I didnāt take this opportunity to poke fun at how you extract nut milks, this is serious business~!
Time to necro a thread!
So many gadgets these days! Some of which Iāve wondered⦠why hasnāt this old thing been in my life until now! Some are brand new. Here are a couple which makes life a tiny bit better:
⦠use this every single day now; wouldnāt be without it! Goodbye scrubby sponges⦠Hello Chainmail!
Next⦠for those who pack a lunch every day!
⦠love these things! You can beat them to death in transit with no spillage AND stickāem in the microwave and oven. Win! Win!
I scrub my cast iron pan hard with salt and steel wool then I bleach the darn thing
am I doing it right?
Perfect!
Iāve learned not to be so anal-retentive about certain things the older I have gotten⦠and the way someone cleans their cookware is a personal choice of the owner. There are particular areas in another persons realm, which I shall never tread.
A.I. is getting really impressive. it thwarted my attempt to trigger it
people donāt you dare clean cast iron with salt or I will pay you a visit, i am the new kinnikinnick
Last year I retired my Nina Blender and got a Vitamix on sale at Samās Club. I use it almost every day for things like green smoothies, soups, hummus, shredding chicken for chicken salad and making bread crumbs. I probably make soups like broccoli, cauliflower, tomato/basil and tortilla a couple of times a week. I bought it because it was on sale (and I remembered how much I used the one my ex-wife got in the divorce) and expect to use it for many years.
Grrrrr! Donāt get me started!
Under the cover of darkness, I made sure that every piece of cast iron cookware was in my possession before I signed the dotted line. Yes⦠it was a point of contention on the day.
But hey, cāest la vie!
Hands down one of the best hand mixers ever. The motor in this thing just keeps chugging along. While it was made in China, it must have been during a time where American companies still cared about their reputation. My mom threw out one we had that still worked, wtf.(Sheās thrown out a lot of really nice thngs that were still good because they were āoldā if only Id known back then how bad things would be today.) I found another at a thrift store for a couple bucks. Love this thing. Itās got that super thick insulated electrical cord too. I canāt find the exact date, but it appears to be from the '90s for sure.
The idea of microwaving it still doesnāt sit right with me, but I would totally put it in the toaster oven 20 minutes before lunch time.
