Lawn Mower Recommendation

I’m looking for a corded mower with leaf bag for a yard of about 3500 SQ ft. I’ve been daisy chaining two 25ft 14g extension cords. I might have to invest in a single 50ft cord depending on the mower amperage, from what I understand. It would be nice not to have to buy another extension cord but do you have any suggestions? I’ve been looking at American Lawn Mower Company. I’ve been using an 18". Don’t want to go above that and no smaller than a 16". What do you think of these 5 picks for brands?

I have this for the Inn…Its quite and works well , i usually only do gas but needed something quite when massages are happening. I have been happy and surprised. Forget the cords

Your friend has shared a link to a Home Depot product they think you would be interested in seeing:

Gotta agree wholeheartedly with fiddy here. We replaced our corded string trimmer and blower with a Ryobi 40V coimbo set and it’s been a much needed timesaver. They have a whole lot of tools/accessories that can use the same battery.

iMHO Milwaukee is the cordless champ, just look at any jobsite. And they also own Ryobi.

@muth

Battery powered units have come a long way. Look into them.

You know, that was my first choice and then I read reviews of people complaining that the battery poops out on them. I could get away with a smaller deck. Are the smaller models just as good as the 20"? Or could I use a 6A battery in a smaller model that uses a 4A?

How long have you had this model?

i had the smaller model and had it for 4 or 5 years…Then i got this one a coulle years ago…The only time ive had battery problems is when i left the battery on the charger for the entire fall/ winter mobths and it seemed to fuck the baytery up. I use the 40V battery. I have had no probelms with either model. Battery arent gonna last a lifetime

I picked up a 21 in EGO mower for my daughter, when she became a homeowner. She had a company lease car, and we didn’t think hauling a gas can in it, was a good idea. Doesn’t take much gas to stink up a car, pretty good.

She used it for 3 years, got married, and moved into hubby’s house. He had a Toro gas mower so they didn’t need the EGO. So she gave it back to me. I’ve used it for 4 additional years, on the same original 56V / 5 ah battery. I use it for about 45 min a week, and it’s still doing the job 7 years and counting on the original battery.

The older I get, the less appealing hauling gas, changing & disposing of the used oil, cleaning air filters becomes. I slap the battery in, press a button, squeeze the handle, and go. Folds up nicely, for winter storage. My old Toro will be going to the curb. I wouldn’t hesitate getting another EGO, if I had to replace it.

Just my two cents, or two volts.
