It’s fascinating to think about the Kardashev Scale of civilization. Combined with the Great Filter theory, it’s enough to fill one with wonder or to give you nightmares.

Agreed and what a concept to base a sci-fi movie on. Something far beyond Star Wars which would seem like a children’s bedtime story by comparison. I wonder what kind of man Kardashev was? Has anyone written a book or screenplay on his life?

I don’t know, but probably not. This reminds me I haven’t read any great science fiction in years.
