Hey guys, i need some suggested percentages for a strawberry watermelon ice recipe.
I posted this once before but didnt really get any usable info.
Any help is appreciated.
I have:
Tfa strawberry (splash) flavor
Tfa strawberry (ripe)
Tfa watermelon candy
Fa watermelon flavor
Ssa double watermelon
Tfa honeydew
Capella super sweet
Ws23
Koolada

adjust pcts how you like
what device do you use is important to include (the tank or pod system) if your using a pod double the pcts
also what do you want more melon , more strawberry, more watermelon than honeydew etc etc
just giving us a list of flavors isnt any help to us
@fidalgo_vapes I like what you posted but I don’t have SB Ripe TFA. I prefer Honeydew more, so do you think leaving it out will work or sub it with a different SB, close to it? Thx
Yes the Honeydew TPA is very strong and stands up in recipes…I like mine at 3 to 4 sometimes if im wanting more Honeydew. Use you fave combo or single SB instead. You can leav it out also and add a touch of Wild Melon or Back up the WM .

let me know how it turns out , not too much wild melon pairing it with the HD can get to acidic , rindy , maybe even soapy if you go too high
@fidalgo_vapes I wrote this out and then I discovered a bottle of TFA Ripe SB! Eh, I’ll just mix it up and if I want more SB I’ll add it, I guess.

I love melon so that’s okay by me. I’ve had enough SB in my life.
Similar to Molinberry Big Watermelon. I knocked it down to 1% though because it turns candied at higher pct and I don’t want that.
ETA: It’s mixed. I’ll give it a few days. It smells/tastes strong.
I’m really liking the SB Splash. It surprised me.

I’ve only tried a small sample of the (Splash) and yes it’s pretty good. I’d compare it to a cross between TPA Strawberry (strawberry syrup/jam) and TPA Sweet Strawberry (Candied), a little bit of syrup and some bits of candied strawberry.
So i decided to do a mix with ssa double watermelon, tfa watermelon candy, capella super sweet and ws23 and it actually tastes decent, but it could use just a smidge more flavor. However, i dont want to overdo it and fuck it up.
The recipe is as follows:
Ssa double watermelon - 8%
Tfa watermelon candy - 6%
Capella super sweet - 1.5%
Ws23 - 3%
Any suggestions? I have fa watermelon flavor, but its more natural, with the rind. Also, could i simply add some strawberry flavor and have a decent strawberry watermelon ice?

you could always add 1% Fa Watermelon to punch it up more. At 1% you shouldn’t get any rind notes.
To add strawberry I always find when working with Strawberries and Watermelon it usually works good using both a candied flavor and more natural flavor of both berry and melon together to balance each other.
Thats more or less what ive got for both. The double watermelon is natural with a bit of a candied taste, and obviously the tfa watermelon candy, and the strawberry splash is somilar to the double watermelon l, natural with a hint of candy. The strawberry ripe smells just like fresh strawberries. Im actually kind of blown away by how authentic it smells. The only thing i DONT like is the bubblegum flavor i am getting from the tfa watermelon candy.
I think for my next one i will do double watermelon and fa watermelon to see how that works.
What i am truly after is a natural, juicy watermelon ice. Like Raz brand disposable vapes’ watermelon ice.

FA Watermelon is a natural tasting fruit, I’ve always liked it for that. Another one I find natural and very good is Watermelon VSO.
