I’ve been trying to perfect “cherry Bakewell” since I first started mixing. It’s a difficult profile. It has lots of layers that all need balancing. Pastry crust, cake , raspberry jam, vanilla icing, cherry and marzipan/almond. It’s hard to get the icing to taste how it should. You end up with far to many flavours.
I’ve learnt a lot since I started mixing so I’m going to simplify and attempt another version. If any one else has a good “cherry Bakewell” ide love to see it.
Sure that was just a screen shot from my archive of recipes. I’ll re-add it to ELR so you can adapt (SSA Shortbread Cookie would work really well in place of sugar cookie for an even more buttery crust) and save it.
Nomz had one of the best authentic banana"s available but they discontinued sell it. I’ve never had any other issues and 95% of my flavours are from there (I’ve got far too many). They run out now and again but always order them back in unless you buy from their flavour clearance because there the last of their stock. You shouldn’t have any future issues.
“alchemists cupboard” have “unicorn vomit” you have to shop around. They also have other flavours nomz don’t stock like (fw) “cake batter dip” They also do there own flavour line which are natural extracted flavours. There “black cherry” is amazing.
I’m going to run out of room to put them soon so I’m very selective with new flavours now and order when I’m low or run out of flavours I use a lot. Still got a list of about 20 flavour writing down in front of me on wishlist though. It’s a very enjoyable hobby.
