Mailing vapes?

i made a deal to sell an RDA that i used once. i have never sold anything vape, and i would not have cared to this time, but this guy sounded like he REALLY wanted one. so i figured i’d help a Bro out.

anyway. i don’t want the PO to know whats in the package. how do i go about mailing it ?

thanx

From what I understand, you can mail person to person. It’s the vendors who can not mail to customers anymore. So you should be ok. Especially since it is just one item.

thanx, but thats not what i mean.

but after posting this, it just popped into my head = put the box in a bag or something and take that to the PO.

but after that, any other advice ?

I mail vape stuff all the time including e-liquid, (0 nic) They do ask of package contains liquid, perfume, hazardous material etc. but have never asked me “Whats inside the package”

It’s the same with me, Parfume, Liquid and breakable things like glass is what they ask.

I did weigh the things and printed a label at home. They have a counter at my PO with a sign “No receipt needed” where you can skip the line and just drop your envelope or package. I didn’t want to be in a crowded PO during COVID therefore I use it always these days.

If you want to ship it discounted and print your own label, you can use pirateship.com. Especially on First Class parcels they have a nice discount and you can print your own label at home.

Identify it as ‘filter’, works for fasttech :+1:

I ship single RDA for $3-4. You can add insurance for less than a buck.

At my post office, they don’t inspect the packages. You can put something in a taped up box and all they do is weigh it and print a label. They also have padded priority envelopes or cardboard boxes… You just stick whatever in and seal it up. They ask if there’s anything liquid or hazardous but that’s it.

well, my selling vape shit virginity is now broken :astonished: . i just got back from the PO. it cost $7 with the mailer. i wraped the box with 2 walmart bags and taped it closed. i thought the mailers were free, nope, $2. but its done and i hope it gets there smoothly.

Open an account with USPS and they will ship you free Priority Mail boxes and bags. I recently started using Pirateship as well for cheaper rates, works great and it sure does beat waiting in any USPS line to buy postage

i don’t think this is going to be a habit. though i do have stuff i probably shouldn’t have bought in the first place. i thought this was never going to be sold, a blue Redemption rda. i bought 2 of them cause they were cheap.

@mjag, I’ve had a USPS account forever, print 2 labels per page (self adhesive) and as long as it’s in a small prepaid, just roll up to any blue box and roll. What the advantage to using PirateShip ?

Cheaper and a little bit easier interface like being able to cut and paste and entire address. Easier to ship first class as well, just shipped a package first class in a non-priority mail padded bag 5oz with tracking for $3.45. Printed the label and dropped it off, no line to wait in.

You don’t save a lot on say a flat rate padded priority mail, I think only about a 45 cent savings but I have gotten up to a 30% discount on some shipping options.

Just box it before hand and when they ask whats in it just tell them A flashlight…I made the mistake of boxing up some liquid in front of the mailbox employee and she told me " you know I cant ship that because I know what it is " …I was so embarrassed and pissed . I use these places bc they atent the Post Office .

I did the same a couple of years ago. I put it in a box and taped it up. Next, I drove to the next town over and mailed it. They asked if it contained any liquids or perishable items. I’m pretty sure I lied and said no lol.
