Mix for pod System - MTL

Hi Everybody

Please can you advise on the mixing volumes for POD systems. I have a Smok Nova 2c. Im looking for flavor intensity that you would find in a disposable. Is that at all possible?

Sorry if this has already been covered.

Any help would be appreciated.

Strong punchy flavours pushed higher & higher % super sweet levels will achieve this.

Something like -
6% fa forest fruit
4% ssa scandinavian fruit
0.5% ws23
1.5% super sweet

Something like that should give you nice punchy flavour similar to that of a disposble, %'s may need a little tweaking dependant on what you’re looking for? But it should get you close as a baseline.
It is indeed possible to make flavours the same as disposables, if it wasnt possible then disposables wouldnt exist. But percentages will differ depending on what concentrates you are using, theres really no set %.

This also worked really well for my daughter who was a disposable user, she said its very similar to a disposable, i also topped it off with an extra 0.5% of nomz mega sweet but cap extra sweet same%, or an extra 0.25% super sweet will do the trick -

What concentrates do you actually have? Or what can you get your hands on? If you can order any flavours then maybe let us know this & also give us an idea on what types of flavour/profiles you want/like & we may be able to assist you better to get to where you want.

Thank you for the advise. I have tried increasing the flavor % but have not considered uping the sweetner out of fear of messing up the coil on the POD. I wil definitely give it a try today.

I dont now how to share my flavour stash, so I’ve made it public with the following link.

I can find any flavour here, CAP, TFA, Ect.

Thank you again

You did the same thing I was doing, that short URL doesn’t work. You don’t have to make it public, go up to the blue wrench and click “share URL privately”

A little extra URL box will appear beneath the short URL, and that will link your recipe.

Welcome to the forum!

It may be a little harder to achieve with cap & tfa tbh, but still not impossible, you will have to find some nice bright punchy flavours, keep them to as few as possible & push them a bit higher than you think you need, also sweetener plays a big part in getting that “dispos’alike” type flavour, ws23 also helps boost flavours, cover up off notes etc.
Maybe try combining somethin like - TFA dragonfruit, CAP sweet strawberry, CAP ripe strawberries, cap juicy lemon (low %) & super sweet, push them quite high (compared to normal recipe %'s) & with a little tweaking you will get there in the end. I have made quite a few juices for my daughter that she says really are no different from disposables. Never tried with all cap/tfa though so unsure on %'s etc?
If you can get FA, FLV or even INW it should make getting that punchy flavour a little easier to achieve.

Edit - just to add, a lot of disposable brands actually use neotame as their sweetener at a high dilution rate & higher %, this is much more forgiving on coils than sucralose is, but there are some dispos i have tried that no doubt is super sweet, maybe not cap or purilum but some form of high dilution rate sucralose based sweetener. An example of a mainstream neotame based sweetener would be capella extra sweet, i think nomz mega sweet may also be neotame based aswell? because i get the same vibe from that.
Sidenote - i cant use capella super sweet i much prefer purilums, its a bit better on coils & it doesnt give me the awful taste/texture to mixes that caps does.

Hi All

Thank for the great advise. I have mixed the following recipes found the the exact experience I was looking for. I will bring down the % of the Super Sweet bit overpowering.

Next Im going to try increasing the Cooling agent and maybe add Menthol to a Cherry flavor… Any thoughts?

I don’t vape pods but I’ve had a bad experience with menthol.

I bought menthol when I first started, I mistook it for being the cooling agent. I find that its got a strong sort of mint flavor. Unless that’s what you’re looking for.

Congratulations on finding recipes that work for you! That’s awesome!!

As far as cooling agent, I can only speak for using it in sub ohm. I find it to be very strong, when I had tried 1% I recall it feeling uncomfortable to vape. But that’s not even close to a pod. Sometimes you just gotta play around with stuff, a little trial and error and you tweak it to what you like the most. That’s all that really matters

Glad you’re making progress👍
Yeah 3.3% super sweet is a little extreme, lol, 1-1.5% should be plenty for a pod device aiming for that commercial/disposalike feel.

Adding menthol could be good for some mixes if menthols your thing? I dont like menthol personally but im not opposed to adding a touch of ws23 to certain recipes, ws23 gives the cooling sensation without adding any minty/menthol flavour to the mix so i dont mind that sometimes.

unfortunately its not possible, I’ve tried many times making recipes to mimic a dispo. They are using a different wicking element inside that gives you that full saturation and just can’t be replicated with a refillable pod system. They also have different flavorings and compounds we don’t have access too. The closest you will get it using some Reka flavors which have some insanely potent flavors. Reka flavors with 2% capella super sweet, 2% ws23 and 0.75% Fa polar blast was the closest I’ve got.
