Mixing using calculator

I have a question about using the mixing calculator. Relatively new to vaping and new to mixing my own liquids.
Being from Oz, we are only able to “legally” get our vapes and juices from pharmacies.

I’m wanting to mix my own juices, but needing some clarification around how much salt nicotine juice I use with the recipe.

The bottles of unflavoured nicotine salt liquid we get here are sold as 50mg/ml nicotine salt (50/50), however on the labels it says “29mg/ml (as benzoate & lactate)” then underneath that it says “50mg/ml nicotine salt”.

I understand there are differences between freebase and salt nicotine levels and I believe our packaging and laws must reference the freebase nicotine level.

My question is, which number do I use in the calculator as the nicotine strength? The 29mg/ml or the 50mg/ml?

I’m wanting to make approx. 50ml of juice in different flavours with a vaping nicotine level of about 15mg

Any assistance is much appreciated

You would go with the Nic strength of 50mg/ml, doesn’t matter if it’s Nic salt or freebase:

Thanks mate. I see you’ve added a flavour shot to the formula… I will be using concentrate flavouring. What would be a good flavour % to start at?

Note: The unflavoured nic salts I’ll be using comes pre-made with 50PG/50VG and I’ll be going for a target of 50/50 with 15mg

Yeah I used a Flavor Shot just as an example, I cannot recommend a flavor percentage as it’s very subjective depending on the flavor and the device (pod, MTL, DTL, etc)

For 50/50 vg/pg, just enter it in the calculator, depending on the amount of flavoring and desired final vg / pg you may get an error and have to adjust the final vg / pg percentage of the mix

There’s no hard and fast rules with flavour percentages. Every recipe will end up sitting at
A different percentage.
Do you want to make your own recipes or are you just looking for one shot flavours to mix with your Nic?

Either way, my advice is read. Lots. I was in your position a few months ago myself and all the answers you need are in this forum. Just gotta do some research. I’m in Aus, feel free to DM me if you need.
