someone on another forum said that muji pads have wax, or something, on them, that makes them a “pad”. does anyone know ?

I’ve used Muji organic cotton and never noticed any wax.
100% pure cotton. I pad should put out at least 3-4 good size wicks when you peel them in half.

i’ve not that close at it, so idk. i can get 15+ wicks out of one pad. but i just cut, install, comb.

normal cotton brands used sterilization process. muji and koh gen do didn’t. I used to use baby butt wipes cotton before turning to koh gen do, and the difference was huge.
There is an outer layer on muji and koh gen do that is thicker, but they’re not wax. they’re just a part that was compressed to ensure the shape wont change in the packaging.
