Muting heavy floral taste

Have a blackberry fa that i picked up. Tried it and it has crazy floral, almost chemical taste to it. Way over powering. Does anyone have any tips for dumbing it down. Going to use it with a blue razz base but the floral is far too much.

have not tried that one
but I never had a good experience trying to mask florals
it was almost like vaping parfume and it persisted with a long steep.
Maybe you can try leaving the cap off for a few days not all florals are the same it might fade YMMV

I can highly recommend CAP blackberry though. No floral and its damn good flavour

you could try lowering the %, that may help? try halving it then increase by small ammounts?

but what i found works for eradicating florals in some berry flavours is ws23, a perfect example is inw malina, this gives crazy florals for me above 0.75%, but i have used this as high as 4% & with ws23 in there it completely removed the florals. I havent tried fa blackberry to confirm if it works the same but with all the other flavours i get florals from the ws23 has worked brilliant to mask that. Percentage wise for the ws23 - 0.25% helped but 0.5% & above got rid of the florals for me. It can also remove harshness or dryness from certain mixes in low %'s & it wont “ice” the mix, ws23 can be used for so much more than its cooling.

Another thing that can sometimes help mask florals is adding a touch of a vanilla or a vanilla cream, ssa ice cream vanilla, tfa vanilla swirl, shisha vanilla etc.

Theres a few other tricks that can help but i literally just opened my eye balls, havent even sat up yet & its early, my brain isnt awake yet lol.

This. Yes like drinking a bottle of perfume while chewing on a damn flower. Ill def pick up a bottle of the cap to test. Appreciate the info. @RicklePick-Eddie1z i tried at about 2% going to try to get the balls to do it again. The taste i couldnt get rid of. For like 30 min just felt like i was eating flowers even after trying to power through with my adv in another tank lol. I was thinking about trying to mellow it with somethink like that. Ill try picking up some of the ws i suppose. Although i dont like the “ice” so not sure if its worth it. Im going to play around at like less than a % mix later and see if its any better but im doubtful

I haven’t mixed with it for a while but if I recall my successful mixes with it call for two drops per 15ml. Blackberry fa is a very strong flavor and many folks start way too high with this flavor and never come back.

You can also mix with small percentages of a grape flavor or for Forrest fruit fa to easy the purple flavor.

Well i ordered some more supplies and am going to try to revist it when i get things in the next day or so. Fingers crossed. Ill probably try next at maybe .25% and see how that looks. Unless u think i should go lower? @warkwarth i picked up the cap bb so hopefully its half as good as you say. No pressure lol @RicklePick-Eddie1z shiiiiit i knew i was forgetting something on my order (ws23) but hopefully with some of the vanilla and other sweetish flavours i have i can sort something out. Appreciate the info guys as always!

Also is the berry having florals a pretry common theme or just a few that i may have issues with. Just kinda looking to go down a berry rabbit hole after i finish up with this peanutbutter so looking at getting things ready

I would stick with the 2drops per 15ml. It sounds crazy…but the thing is that you can always add more.

Crazy in terms of…I almost never recommend drops and prefer measuring by weight (and the amount eludes me if a drop is 0.198 grams or 0.02). But yes…acouple drops.

BlackBerry fa is wild strong…dark…and gritty with a touch of the black/blue/purple flavor. It’s unique and something I enjoy….just havnt mixed it for a hot minute….but if I open my mixing laptop in the next few days I can find my recipie for you.

I know a lot of raspberries carry florals, some only show up when you push them, i think the same can happen with some blackberries & black currants aswell? i only had 1 blackberry a good while back & never restocked, pretty sure it was tpa’s i had? & that did have some funky notes from what i vaguely remember(dont think i got floral though?). I prefer blackcurrant though personally, but even some of those can get floral when pushed, a touch of ws23 does help those aswell, just 0.25% is enough to help, but the more pronounced the floral is, the more ws23 you will need to cover it, 0.5-0.75% is usually the max you will ever need though, that should cover any florals, it even works for harshness/bitterness, like peaches for example, some of them can be harsh but a touch of ws sorts that out. Lowering % is the best option really but some flavours carry that floral or harshness whatever % you use, this is where the ws comes in handy.

Edit - spelling/wording, & to add - @Chrispdx comment sounds about right & is really good advice, try what he said, 2 drops in 15 ml would be around 0.25% give or take(maybe a tad higher). If it is that strong & hard to work with you could always make a dilution to make it easier to mix with. make like a 50% dilution or something, that way you could use it at around 0.5-1% instead & make it easier/less likely to over drip, the more you dilute it the easier it will be to work with (thats if it really is that strong).

My blackberry stone, I don’t notice any floral hints but do usually pair it up with yogurts or cheesecake.
Blackberry stone : Check cookies

0.80% Blackberry (Flavorah)
0.50% Blackcurrant (Ribes) (FA)
2.50% Mora (Blackberry) (SC) (WF)

Flavor total: 3.8%

some berry’s do have a bit of a floral theme more-so if they are going for authentic real fruit flavour which FA tends to do
there are many that are not really floral though

but flavours are strange, looking at notes and reviews you will always see contradictory information because we sense things very differently

Person A: This is too floral and chemical
Person B: No florals - really juicy

I have 5 different strawberry’s I can’t really taste them at all in a vape except 1 which tastes like wax
but they all taste really good in a sprite

Ill have to revist this and see. Start with as little as possible i guess. I did pick up another 2 blackberrys recommended to me. One is great. The other i havent tried yet. @RicklePick-Eddie1z ill be getting some ws23 on my next order to give this a go and see how things fair. Im sure between that and dilution/smaller % i can figure a way to make it work. Even in a mix. @Letitia ooh ima def need to try that mix in a cheesecake. Sounds so good. @warkwarth yes there is a lot of back and forth with the flavours. And they vary a lot person to person. Id like to not waste it so figuring out a way to make it work is ideal. I appreciate the advice everyone and thanks for the addition recipes to try with this @Letitia @Chrispdx

remember they are food flavorings, they can be used like febreeZe, baking, homemade soap or in drinks (my personal favourite)
you can give bad flavors to someone you don’t like but it’s rare i don’t find some kind of use first

they can smell/taste completely different when not used for vaping
there are many uses some i probably forgot to list
so you don’t have to waste them

This though. I will absolutley be saving them for someone i dont like🤣
