My Juice Is Destroying My Tank Coils

Not knowing which aspect of caution you’re concerned about…but applied in context (of being a coil killer), IMO it’s just something that you kind of have to accept as it comes with the territory. Otherwise, you’re going to lose access to a lot of great flavors that you’d otherwise enjoy! (chocolates for instance)

Now, if sucralose is the primary concern, then that’s a whole 'nother issue.

I also understand if you’re talking about it being a concern from the standpoint of if you are still buying pre-made/retail replacement coils.

But if you’re building your own, it’s a very small price to pay, and given that you can pull the cotton and dry burn most coil wire types clean… There’s really no reason at all to be worried about gunk. Since dry burning extends the life of the coil, you’re still cutting your wire usage in half even if you only dry burn once before you install a fresh coil!

I’m guessing here, but I take it you’re still buying pre-made coils? (Might be time to make the leap in gear if you are! -besides which, it’s cheaper!)

I use Flavor West…and most of the rest…
Don’t fear the reaper, but in ELR Flavor stash, or wherever you have/find one of your flavorings, just click it to research the notes, etc. on that flavor. The more you know about it, the easier it is to use well.
There are so many great tools on ELR…I wish more people would use them, and they are only $0.00/ea.

what flavor some flavors high in sugar content can be the reason

This might sound funny, but see if changing to different coil material makes a difference. Especially if you’re using stainless steel, switch to kanthal and see if it gunks the same or less.

saw few juices that will turn your wick bright red with SS coils and gunk a lot faster. Has to do, my guess, with the super fast heat up of SS coils burning certain juice components.

Cheers,

Usually go by this standard. The sweeter the juice the more coil gunking. Just a rule I go by.
