That’s probably what I did wrong I would inter ever thing that I could then download the file and when I try to load it in to the.mod and got a error message I am using a file I used steam engine to create for a .1 ti coi build last week one of the many different profiles i saved but using .05 works good real good I was playing with escrib for the past week and saved a lot of files I really enjoy working with the 22 GA Ti I wicked the indulgence tight getting a really good flavor correction (fanfreakintastic )at 35 watts 430 Degree F
Well only been using my Opus DNA 200 for a week and here is what I think so far first what a clean small light weight build .now I got two of them and in testing temperature control I had one that worked better than the other .I am a perfectionist the flat line was not the same on both mods on the coil temp so I changed the 510 matching pair the only negative thing I found. Now positive the batteries give me over 12 mils of juice run time same as my ipv 4 using Ti with my Goliath v2 or mutation RTA. A big plus is on the wall charger it will charge 1 amp so can go from 26% to 95 in a hour I like that .If i use USB from pc takes longer it charges at .5 amps now. Do to the fact my ipv4 is so much bigger and heavier I can put up with for a hour or two . Never bothered me before .the escrib is what makes the DNA 200 if there is something I do not care for I can change it
my profile stay were I set them and after using the DNA 200 for a few days getting use to manuvering my way through the settings temperature control works very stableI want to thank everyone who gave me help I all most drove my self over the edge trying to figure out how to turn the DNA off thanks big Ben getting back to me I got a good laugh at my selfI wanted too follow up on this out of the two DNA 200 opus I got one failed absolutely no problem getting new board on the way after doing a bit more research could it be because opus had the first DNA 200 to come out I paid more for mod made in USA and glade I did . Roger at opus said send it in I will take care of it .I wanted too stand up for two US firms . And my mod will still be under warranty for a full year by Evolv 6 months opus not 30 days like some I see . opus is not the only mod to have DNA 200 fail .
Thanks for letting us know , sorry you had trouble as well but Evolv and Opus are good about taking care of any problem. So far I haven’t had any issues with my three Dna 200’s ,knock on wood!
I NEED TO EAT SOME WORDS the DNA 200 has no problem doing pass through charging @daath I was wrong in my statement .in a previous statement I said it was not good I want clearly state that’s not true
I love my VT 200. Only con is battery life. My vapor shark flask dna 40 have at least double if not almost triple the battery life with those brown HG 3000 mah batteries. And that is with same set up, kanger subtank mini and stock NI200 coils. Does anyone knows what I should set the mah for in the VT 200 on escribe? Some say 1300, others 860. I heard that the correct settings would improve the battery life. My next mod could be a dual 18650 dna 75 in series. Maybe the therion? BTW daath, with Internet explorer, I did not have to go to incognito mod to reply, just in Chrome Spooky?
I have found out that at least after SP3, the gauge doesn`t matter. Only if it’s TI,SS or NI200, the profiles are the same on each gauge. Have I got it all wrong? And all the new mods are coming with pre installed profiles without different gauges, just different wires. I did like you and downloaded profiles for 26 and 28 gauge SS 316. And for titan 24 and 26 gauge, but they are similar readings. At least to my knowledge. But back in november it was maybe important, but on the other hand, I could be very wrong. I am far, very far from an expert here . Thank you for this great thread.
Thank you for that. So my observation that the gauge does not matter, is true then?
So after struggling with temp control for months I bought the HCigar vt133. Took a bit to figure out, and now thanks to this thread and a thread from evol vapor regarding SS I have high hopes to get this working perfectly!
This is from the evol forums by CADmanSolid:
"… i have found that any lower than 0.2 on ss316l is just to unstable to work with so i like to stick around the 0.2 0hms mark on 26awg for tanks and can go 24awg on drippers of ya like but it will be less stable.
This is my build and settings:
Dual
contact coils 26awg @ 8 wraps on a 2.5mm post coming out @ 0.257 in a (Cloud chasers ink triforce rta deck that has a modded center pin right through from post to +510 bed for perfect conductivity) not important, you just need a good connection from coil to DNA chip (good atty).
My mod resistance is set to 0.007 (This is important).
Then I lock my ohms to 0.26 even though it is actually 0.257 (These small changes make a world of difference to your vape).
I set my pre heat to 1w, 0 punch, 0 seconds (This is important).
My over all wattage is set to 130w (this is important not to starve the
power from the coils) but the DNA only sucks about 100-127w on a huge
tooooot @ 535DegreesF and about 80w on a normal toot @ 480…"
Mine is set to 13.54 Wh
Did you disable your Norton toolbar yet? I don’t think the toolbar does any good to anything
Mine is also set on that, but I have read some place that it is to high. I dont know. I have the Norton toolbar on IE as well, and here is not a problem I like the toolbar for the vault. Then I only need to remeber one password, and the vault take care of all the other ones. The RAM in my brain is damaged by age or
Ok, I use 1Password for that - I like it To check if it really IS the Norton toolbar, try disabling it (not uninstalling it) - then restart the browser and see if it works. If it does, it must be another plugin/addon… Or maybe you can mark the forum as safe?
Good idea. Will try that .Thank you Sir And by the way to everyone who feel to chime in, is there som suggested resistance for each wire? I mean stock SS coils usually lies in the .5 range, for TIa grad around .32 and NI200 .15, so I try to ame toward those. But then I read that lower gauge in TC use less juice. I need to sock in every info I can get. I prefer single coils i RTA.
Check out my post on the new Dual carbon battery, I think it may be good for our devices in the future.
Cant find it. Can you point me in the right direction_
Gauge has never mattered with TC. As long as the proper wire type is selected it should always be the same TCR because the variance of resistance changes consistently per metal with gauge being of no consequence. At least that’s been my experience with all TC wire types gauge 28 - 22. If that is wrong I hope someone corrects me (us?).
Thank you so much beafort. There are so many kind and helpful people in here. Great place to be. Wish I will become skilled enough on the DIY the become a resource for newbies. Give something back.
