Nature's Flavors Reviews

1% with a basic Cream of your choice should be a good 1st test. It’s pretty forgiving compared to some other Coffees out there.

I just ordered a bunch of nf flavors. Im trying to get a leg up on some things and was wondering if you could shoot me a few recipes youve done. Appreciate all the good feedback and hopefully i can save some time in testing these out

Those recipes have a lot of flavors from different companies. I guess a better question would be how much nf extracts should i use per recipe. Like if i use 2% pastry how much berry extract should i use etc. Also i saw hes sensitive to pg which i am too so ive been using propanediol as a substitute at around 10% just to help thin out the vg

This stuff tends to mute flavors, if i remember correctly. We tested some flavor lines that used to use it and they were a total failure. Most of the flavorings we use are PG and or alcohol based.

The answer to your question is a tough one because all of this is subjective. While i may enjoy a flavor at 1% you might like it at 3%. As you are new the best advice that i can give is to test the flavorings on their own to see where you like them, it will also help you to learn how to combine them the way you want them.

Quite a few folks will suggest finding a couple recipes that look good and ordering the flavors for them instead of going gungho and ordering 50 flavorings. Each flavor houses offerings are completely different, Strawberry from Flavor West will be totally different than say Wonder Flavors Strawberry.

There are lots of flavors and flavor combinations that the majority enjoy and i do not, this whole thing is super subjective.

Thanks broski! I think im going to shoot at 1 percent and just make a bunch of testers. Id rather them be too shy of flavor then blown out. I could always go back and add some more. The steep time is gonna kill me but i know patience is :key:

You can use the flavor usage %s listed on each flavor, they might help narrow it down a bit. Each companies offerings are not only different tasting they also differ in strength. And depending on what devices you use and how you use them make a difference as well.

It sounds a lot more complicated than it is and there are a lot of discussion you can read through in the New Mixer Forum, SOOOO much information.

Sorry about that, here you go:

EDIT:

And here is some info on how to create your stash, this is an important step as creating it properly will help with flavor notes and starting %s.

How much dw will depend on your vaping style. I prefer a rdl draw and use 6-8% dw depending on my flavor % in the mix. If you mix for mtl I’d mix testers 3 testers at 8,9,and 10% dw. Dtl 1-3% will be fine. With dw you get more crackling and may need to up your flavors a bit.

Thank u! I use a .15 or .2 coil, mtl is my style i believe. So probably 3%?

Your coils are better suited for dl or rdl in my opinion but could easily be mistaken. I’m not suggesting that my way is better but I don’t do mtl at all so can’t really help much. 3% is a good starting point for any style of af if you also use pg or p400. I would guess if you only use vg + 3% dw your wicks won’t be able to keep up with such a thick base unless your flavor % is pretty high (10-15%). Just guessing here as I have no experience mixing for mtl.

Wow that is super low for MTL. What RTA/RDA are you using with that?

Jonny5isAlive! Hey, Jonny! I need to see your flavor stash! Maybe just a list of all your NF flavors? If i have tips, I’ll lay 'em out here.

I’ve been really offline the last year or so, but I’m working on getting back in the mix!

@KC111 I totally let you fall through the cracks when you reached out. I’m sorry for that. I’ll jump back in here and see what i can do if it’s still relevant.
