So I made a waffle recipe that my friends seem to like a lot, but I’m finding I can’t stand it. I think it’s because the taste of TPA Belgian Waffle really gets to me now. I just started using INW Waffle which is a very odd but cool flavor. It’s hard to describe, but it’s almost like a griddle flavor. It’s very strong as well.
I want to get rid of Belgian Waffle completely and build a waffle flavor from scratch so to speak (keeping the INW…It doesnt seem like this can stand on its own as a waffle.). My recipe is below. Any ideas on how I might accomplish it? Thanks.
Wow 10% BW lol. I’m not sure if I can handle that. I’ve never tried TPA Butter higher than 1%. I’ll see what 1.5% is all about now that I know it’s safe. Do you think CAP Sugar Cookie might fill in some of the gaps if I removed BW completely?
I like Belgian Waffle as a flavor, but it is a fairly strong flavor in a mix. 5.5% seems high to me. You may try doing your waffle mix with everything but the nic and the BW. Then add small amounts of the BW until it hints at you or to a bit higher level than a hint. Waffle as a food is a fairly subtle flavor with the toppings taking front and center. The BW is just a base to hold it up. Then add the Waffle INW a bit at a time till you get where you want to be with it. Just a thought. Good luck.
Frank I’m Guna go in a completely different direction. Have you had the pleasure of trying FW’s vanilla butternut no other will do but it has the taste of pancakes and I could see a waffle being worked out with it as well of course you could add waffle TFA at 1% but FW Vanilla butternut is super rich and tasty even at 3-4%. BLAX let me in on this lil secret and oh another Very Very important detail is Maple TFA not the maple sugar variety and no one else’s TFA Maple is outstanding and it is also a non pg flavor.
And BW gets sickly to me after a while so I understand you plight to remove it.
Thanks for your replies. @Amy2 I haven’t tried those flavors you mentioned but they do sound delicious. Next time I make an order I’ll get them for sure. Maybe I’ll just order all 30,000 of them so I don’t have this problem again
Lol there is probably more than 30,000 hee hee j/k BCV has FW vanilla butternut and TFA Maple was a super pita to find had to go through TFA and get them to send it to me but it was cheap. If you want and if you haven’t already you can sign up for a wholesale account on TFA and that will give you rights to being able to buy the 4oz flavors.
Yea good prices throughout. TFA is shipped out of California. There is a maple syrup one but I’m not talking about that flavor. You said WL had just Maple flavoring TFA ok Kewl for next time I need it. It’ll be a while I got a 15 ml of it, it is thicker than the average flavor.
