It always makes me smile when you say the Ol’ lady because it’s something we call our wives and mothers where I come from and since I moved to Wales I don’t hear it said anymore.

In years past, we also used the Ol’ Lady term as well. I’ve softened a bit over the years, and try and be a little more respectful now.
I call my wife The Warden.
