I cleared the “Cached images and files” first and nothing changed. I then cleared the “cookies and site settings” and I did have to login again but my user name and password was still populated automatically. I had to accept giving permission for cookie gathering. I created a new test recipe and the pg still disappeared.
Next I hit edit, unchecked “Max vg”, saved and still no pg.
Then I hit edit, unchecked “Max vg”, checked “save these values as new defaults”, saved and this time it worked! It seems that “Max vg” having already been the default is the culprit and my browser settings/cache was retaining the default value when I saved even though I had been unchecking max vg each time before.
