Yea, that sherbet recipe started out with Juicy Orange CAP and Orange Creamsicle CAP but they were just too mild/thin.
I really like some CAP flavors (ie. cheesescake, butter cream, double choc.) but FA don’t mess around when it comes to flavor. There ain’t nothin’ mild or weak about that Mandarin lol
Nice recipe man. I see you put the Stevia in with it. I finally got a bottle and I am going to try it on @Pro_Vapes Cactus and Fruit. I mixed it up, and after it finally steeped to perfection I cannot vape it. I am wondering if the MF Strawberry is too hard on my throat. But I did have a mega dry burn hit on my Aromamizer an hour or so before that, so maybe that ruined me for the night. If the Strawberry is harsh for me, hopefully adding a touch of the Stevia will calm that down, because the flavor of that recipe is ridiculously good!
I didn’t notice harshness with the MF Strawberry… I think it may be the Cactus instead. It has some serious throat hit. You can use it @ 1/2 to 2/3 in this recipe and still get a good green effect from it. It should lessen the throat hit.
Oh good. I was so worried. But that kinda sucks. I was really looking forward to using that Cactus in other recipes.
I had the same effect from Charlie Noble’s Poseidon Punch one day, which is mostly Citrus flavors. But I was vaping a lot of cinnamon and other flavors that day testing stuff out. I coughed for like 4 hours. But the next day I could vape it just fine. So I will try it again when I get home tonight and leave you a comment. It’s definitely a great recipe and the flavor is just amazing. So I really hope I can vape it. If not I am going to try the Stevia trick and see if that helps. If that doesn’t work I guess I will have to leave out the Cactus.
Before you give up on the Cactus you should try it @.5%. You may be able to vape it @ that %. It’s a real unique flavor that adds juiciness and a green earthiness to mixes.
Thanks man , yea, I put a dash of stevia in all my fruit blends now. It really makes the fruit flavors shine. Softens the acidity and lets the sweet juiciness of the fruit come through. I hope it works as well for you. Let me know how it turns out.
i vouch for that cactus, brother…i love love love that cactus. if its a simple recipe, with not many flavors, i like to keep the cactus at 0.75%…if its a more complex recipe, with several flavors, then i may up it to 1%
its pretty powerful stuff…has an amazing mouth watering ability, no kidding
Edwards Key Lime Pie is my go to pie of choice above all others when I want a creamy treat. So I made it into a vape. Tastes exactly the same to me, literally identical…
CURE: 2 weeks
VAPE: 58W on a 0.25ohm vertical coil
FLAVOR: Tastes just like Edwards Key Lime Pie from the frozen foods section in the grocery store. Key Lime pie is my number 1, go to, favorite treat so I turned it into a vape. Eating a slice of Edwards Key Lime Pie while vaping this and I cannot tell a difference.
TWEAK IT:
Want it a little more tangy…? Increase Lime Tahity - Distilled FA to 1.75% or 2%
Want less crust…? Drop Graham Cracker FW to 0%
Sorry 'bout that man… My BCV “wish list” keeps growing too lol. I just grabbed like 20 new flavors from them, less than 2 weeks ago, to clear out my “wish list” but it’s already back up to 23 items again… It never ends…
I’m not sure what that would do to the mix but I’d be interested to hear how it turns out. Guessing it’d end up like more of an orange milk or ice cream but not sure…?
Oba Oba has a “Cream Soda” flavor to it which gives that distinct jump from ice cream to sherbet on that recipe. Without it; I think this would be more milky?/fluffy?/light? Not sure
Dang it now I’ll have to buy some Oba too… LOL I’ll order it… I was under the assumption that Oba Oba was a fruit flavor which is why I didn’t pick it up … cream soda though? yeah I could go there.
