Thanks to Porkrollandeggs over on reddit here is the full paper on the new study.
Electronic cigarette aerosols and copper nanoparticles induce mitochondrial stress and promote DNA fragmentation in lung fibroblasts
Here is a dropbox link in case it disappears.

My question is what “flavor” did they test with, and also not all tanks/rda use copper in their construction… So between those two questions and no real results shown, i cant really agree that those effects are wide spread or from only a select few conditions. But at least they admit its still better than cigarette smoke lol.
Nitpicking about aerosols and nano particles but ignoring widespread pollution with devastating negative effects on health and environment… time for a war on cars?

Exactly, what about the effects of all the nano particles floating around in the air? And since they are assuming all of our devices contain copper, what about the plastics “leaching effect” from our juice containers? You know, since we all keep our juice in plastic bottles. To me it seems another narrow minded study; one to point out negative effects. To be a good study, test out the various devices we use not just the ones containing copper but the ones containing aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, gold, silver, also test using a vast selection of e-juice combinations such as different ratios of PG/VG/NIC, flavorless, with different flavors then compare all those results.
Thanks for sharing though, @Ken_O_Where!

Is there a copy of that in English?
We should compile a list of all things that are bad for your lungs…
Deodorant / aerosols
Dust / wood dust / concrete dust / household dust etc
Exhaust Fumes
Smoke from anything that is burning
Mold
Asbestos
Hair
The list goes on…
