So I quit smoking using vaping. Its only been 4-5 months and where I live I cant buy anything from vape sites, I cant order $10-$12 120ml bottles of juice. I can only buy locally and they are $40+ So I’ve ordered my vape from china. I am ordering nicotine from I believe china. I think I can order flavoring as it can be used for other things.
My question is if I buy 200mg/ml (500ml) nicotine can I then turn it to 100mg/ml by adding 500ml of either vg/pg?
Next question is I want to make a killer Kustard clone, I’ve found a few and even watched a YT video and saw a guy using a scale, and adding drops and saying it was 1% adding drops of another flavor and saying that was .25%, how could he know % from adding on scale?
I have found a list of flovorings to buy
I will buy some new empty vape bottles
I have a scale but will probably update
I can by the VG and PG off Amazon and will do so
Oh and will buy the 200mg/ml (500ml) bottle of nicotine from where I believe in china for $100
I am assuming the initial investment for just the vape juice will be $350+ but after I am hoping to be able to make lots of vanilla custard vape juice. Did anyone watch any helpful videos to figure out how to actually get the process of adding drops to make accurate recipes?
I just dont want to drop $350+ and be stuck and not be able to figure it out. Is there any other messuring devices I should get to mix the juice. Should I buy the empty juice bottles at 100ml, does that make it easier than 60ml or 120ml? Should I buy my nicotine in pg?
Any help would be a literal godsend
Are there juice makers in the USA that sell and ship juice.
Congratulations on quitting smoking! My suggestion to you would be to start small. Go over to the recipe side and look for maybe four or five recipes that interest you. Out of those recipes buy only the flavors in those recipes in 10 to 15 ml bottles to start.
The simple answer is yes. You are going to have to be careful when working the 200mg/ml. Don’t let it touch your skin. Ware vinyl or rubber gloves. Protect the rest of your body with plastic. If you spill and it touches the skin the nicotine can cause nicotine poisoning. Flush with water immediately. I break my 100mg/ml into 15 to 30ml amber glass bottles and keep out only 1 working bottle the rest goes into the freezer bags and the freezer till I need another. Freezing the nicotine will slow down degrading. I’m using five year old nicotine today.
I recommend getting a scale. Amazon sells jewelry scales that will measure down to . 000 grams. I recommend Amazon 501b it measures down to . 00 grams. It comes with a plugin adapter and won’t shut it’s self off when mixing.
Recipes are mixed by weight. Percentage is a fraction of the weight. That way you can scale up or down to bottle size.
Right now this is all new to you. It will become old hat quickly. 120ml bottles is a big commitment till you know you like the recipe. You didn’t mention what kind of equipment you vape on but I wouldn’t make anything larger than a 30 ml bottle till I know I like the recipe. I don’t make anything larger than a 60ml bottle when
I do like it.
Welcome to DIY. It Will save you money. Once you become more comfortable it can become a rabbit hole.
You can buy your flavors in the US from Bull City flavors. A 10ml bottle is about $ 2.50. you can buy larger bottles once you figure out what fits your pallet.
Ask questions if you don’t know or become confused that’s what we’re here for.
there are many e-liquid calculators that will convert the % to weight for you, he is actually mixing by weight
the math is simple enough to do in your head though
0.1 g is 1% of 10g, so to make 60 ml with 2,5% flavor it would be like
.25 X 6 = 1.5 g
there is a link at the top of page “create recipe” that does everything for you
yes
you should get the PG VG from the same place as your flavors if possible.
no its not any harder to use 120ml just use an e-liquid calculator
i recommend moslty 30ml and 60ml. its good to have a few 120ml
