I can’t tell you how many times over the years that on a big sale I’ll wait until the last second of the deal after doing research like a mad man and pricing it against other places. I remember I did it through here this year and wasted around 3 hours so I’ll help you guys out for some unique flavors that you can find at most US places and some tips.
They rebottle everything I think so you’ll get 15ml instead of 10ml like most companies that have the original factory bottle. So crush CAP, WF, and the few OOO flavors like a mad man. The scaling doesn’t adjust that well and it can be a bit all over the map compared to the other big site but for basically TPA/FW/OOO/WF/CAP then maybe the 2 from LA that’s worth it and HS they have their Blueberry and French Vanilla Ice Cream which is a must from there line. You won’t find a better price/performance with the 15ml bottles and some lines they have more flavors than other places while other lines less, so it’s a game of bouncing back and forth. If you’re smart about it you can crush it though and get best of both worlds as they don’t have SC/FE, VT, and their INW & MB is all over the place, like the INW Cactus 2 OZ is a steal while Grapes is not.
I don’t know what’s up with ecigexpress that they don’t have to follow the strict FLV guidelines but they are offering discounts on FLV & INW Shisha, yet can’t do any promos on CAP ever so something is really strange there because it was so awesome back in the day to get 5ml bottles of FLV flavors for cheap and then they put the hammer down. I don’t know why NR always has the 15ml bottles that’s expensive compared to others which is a shame because some of the FLV flavors at 15ml is just overkill because it’ll last you about 232 years and not a lot of people are going to take a chance on some random flavors at that price point. However, there are some must haves though in FLV Cream, FLV Vanilla Pudding, FLV Mango, FLV Wild Melon, FLV Boysenberry, FLV Citrus Soda, FLV Lime etc… I’d shop around though with that line. FA is way too expensive and go to another place and pick that up with VT, FLV, SC…
Then PUR/NR/EU/FR can kind of be bulked together. There are about 14 flavors that are must gets from that line up (read the flavor notes here, especially the forum) then on reddit. If I have time, as I’m wasting it typing this I can post some of the lesser known but great flavors that doesn’t get a lot of attention but for sure hit CAP hard, they have WS-23 now so grab that cheap, and then start working a bit on the PUR & WF line as they have picked up their game tremendously the past 1 1/2 years with new flavors.
I don’t think they care if they don’t intend to carry Flavorah anymore. It’s only my guess, but there’s no other reason for them to do this. Personally, I think they are going to condense the size of their inventory, drastically.
Probably has to do with the contracts they sign, depends on the deal they get. Also has to do with the contract they are willing to follow through with, if it is not performing they will pull the parachute.
I like ordering 4oz bottles of CAP from ECX because they are sealed OEM bottles. If given the choice I will take OEM bottles over re-bottled everytime.
Edit: Forget about the CAP in OEM bottles, just got my 4oz of CAP Vanilla Custard from ECX and it was re-bottled

Since my ‘conversion’ to DIY, I’ve purchased from the half dozen or so major suppliers in this industry over the past few years and Nicotine River err Supply, is w/o a doubt the worst company to deal with, at least in my (along w/ several of others’) experience. Shopping @ their website is consistently a struggle (as well as its most reliable ‘feature’) and incredibly frustrating due to functionality and speed, or lack thereof.
If it wasn’t for the couple of sales they have a year, I’d never even shop there in the first place. Unless they have the patience, I’d recommend newcomers to stay away from them compared to the others because time = money and depending on the individual, it may simply not be worth it, unless you don’t mind: waiting a week just for your order to ship, items that are commonly sold out (while some may consider inevitable, shouldn’t happen as frequently as it does for a vendor of this size and magnitude), not receiving notifications for the biggest sale of the year (didn’t receive an email, nor did I see it on the website before or leading up to BF but could’ve missed it), searching random related places looking for it, not even knowing what the supposed sale is gonna be or include and how much is the discount (IF there even is a BF sale at all), and when the information is finally available to the public it’s put out hours before (thanksgiving) or a day at best.
Unlike most normal companies, who put out their ads the week before, start their sales on Thanksgiving at the latest (if not the day before, or even at the beginning of the week), or if it starts on Friday it at least runs through the weekend if not through Cyber Monday, have websites w/ the ability to remember the items added to an already logged in customer’s cart the next time they log in (holy photographic memory Batman!), the ability to provide an end date of the sale when advertising a start date, notify customers about Cyber Monday more than fours before Cyber Monday, don’t leave a huge banner on the front page advertising a sale AFTER Cyber Monday, have a system that doesn’t stop the sale even a minute before it’s supposed to be over, and don’t have a website that’s so slow it almost makes me yearn for the days of accessing the interwebs via CD, chatting via AIM, hearing “You’ve got mail!”, and becoming so familiar w/ the tones of dial-up internet that i could sing it better than the star spangled fucking banner…
So you missed the sales???
To be honest I wouldn’t say worst and haven’t had that level of an issue with river to put them on blast. Sure they have had growing pains. But they are active in the community. They listen when we speak up. They make adjustments.
Hell. They added mf to their listing when no one else would. As promised they got my business.
well yes (the one today?) but I didn’t even know about it until really late so it isn’t what “triggered” me if that’s what you’re trying to suggest is the cause of my post. I’ve had issues w/ them at least once a year for the past few years, and my first order of the sample kit is the only one that went smoothly.
Their website is fucking atrocious. Why do ALL the flavors load at the same time, on one single page? Why is clicking on the menu in order to browse by vendor name so damn hard? The font is small, and even if I maintain my cursor within the cascading menu, it still closes. I could go on and on but you can choose to interpret it in whichever way your mind wants if someone dares to have an experience that differs than your own and the cognitive dissonance is too much for you to handle
again, they havent made adjustments to obvious issues I’ve already suggested. I’ve read about similar issues before on reddit, in addition to experiencing them myself multiple times for years, so I don’t really feel the need to justify or prove (beyond all the examples already included in my OP) to those who refuse to even consider a position/opinion/view which differs from their own preexisting belief if it does not align with their personal experience. life is not binary and not everything can be that black & white
I believe I also did not receive a discount on the beaker I ordered, but eh it was a dollar. No biggie.

I don’t think anyone is doubting your experience but your frustration level looks to be cranked to 11. If this was a few months back with the old site then it would make a lot more sense. Scrolling through flavors was frustrating before but it has greatly improved for me. I don’t have the problem of choosing a flavor brand unless I left click too early.
I can see being frustrated you missed the BF sale extension, if I wasn’t subscribed to this thread I might have missed it too. River Supply does have problems but I respect the fact that they consistently try and resolve those problems. So far I haven’t found a perfect flavor vendor although BCF comes close, just wish they wouldn’t take a flavor off the site when sold out even though it is not discontinued. BCF also had a problem a little while ago with leaky bottle caps, they replaced some but not all. Love BCF but River Supply has them beat when it comes to sample sizes costing the same but getting 50% more. VG/PG prices, the only one that comes close if LNW but no free shipping option with LNW so RS wins there too.
Shipping times have gotten much better with RS, placed orders on BF with BCF, ECX, LNW and RS. Got my ECX package yesterday, will get BCF and RS today and LNW should be here tomorrow. Sometimes I do have to wait a day or 2 extra if it is a big order with RS but before it use to take upwards of a week to ship.
Didn’t place an order with Wizard Labs this year, sale was lacking compared to others. I wanted to order from Gremlin and diyvaporsupply but never got an email or noticed any sale on their sites.
If you find then perfect site then please let us all know, just because some people agree with you on Reddit doesn’t mean everyone has had the same experience. Still it is good you share your frustrations as past experience tells us that RS listens.
meh, don’t worry about it. I believe the discount would have been literally 1 dollar so no worries. I saved plenty on my whole order.

I’ll make my reply MUCH shorter than I’d like to. This was your first post on ELR and I simply don’t understand how you expect any company to respond to an issue if they don’t know about it! Maybe you should have contacted River Supply instead of bitching on a forum. I can GUARANTEE you from my personal experience they would have responded and taken care of the problem. I have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with NR in any way other than a loyal customer. And as for your comment of the star "FUCKING " spangled banner…that song as well as our American Flag means a great deal to me! In this country you are guaranteed the right to free speech in which you have done. And so have I… you PR!#@ !
Yikes! That was a venom laced review, right there. Guess everyone can have a bad experience no matter how good others may have it. Me myself, no problems. Had a very minor glitch a few months (maybe a year) back but NR(at the time) made it right immediately. They have always been open to communication and go above and beyond to make customers happy. Hell I remember my first order, I got a call from Grant at home asking me if I got everything alright. Seriously, who does that? Now if they would only carry LB’s Vanilla Ice Cream…
