Nicotne strength

Hi Just purchased some nicotine from Darkstar 7.2% Nicotine (PG Base)
Its 7.2 strength.
Now when you mix a recipe the default on the calculator is 100mg strength does this mean I have to alter that to 72 or 7.2
Thanks

yeah just drop it to 72 and set that as your default

Im on the stock up getting 5 100ml bottles a month and putting it in freezer just in case buying it gets difficult with new rules. What do you think shelf life would be if in freezer ?

in the freezer you’ll be golden, I wouldn’t worry, it’ll last ten times longer, I’ve been stocking up last couple of months and intend to keep on till May, way I see it It’s either gonna go one of two ways, either nearer to May suppliers will be selling it off to get rid of it or there’ll be a shortage as they wont keep replenishing their stocks, I don’t intend to get caught out either way

They could of course sell their remaining stocks to companies who are going to bring out the 10ml 20mg bottles or do that themselves but they’ll be expensive and…well…20mg lol

on a side note, I see you’re getting the ‘freezer pack’ from darkstar, it’s good but it’s expensive, keep the 100ml bottles as they are easy to work with and just buy a litre at a time for £40, then dispense into the 100ml bottles as they run out, you get more for your money that way

Yea that was my plan got the 5 first then like you said go for the ltr bottles

Just confirming you understand this, on the bottom of the calculator you set your nic info for the nic you bought, if it is 7,2mg per ml set that and below that you see where to set PG to 100%, then on the top you will see the desired strength for your e juice, be careful your not making 72mg per ml e juice!

Totally reiterating all of what you had said and adding in capital letters it contains 7.2MG OF NICOTINE PER ML @gollum2016 …and remember to shake the hell out of your juice if you don’t already! :+1:

Getting confused now
This is a recipe and amounts I put based on the 7.2 nicotine I have from Darkstar and at 3% strength
is this correct

Thanks

looks right.

No it does not look correct to me, I buy my nic from a different supplier though and the way this is shown is what is confusing me. Is that nicotine 7.2mg/ml strength? or is it 72mg/ml as you are entering into the calculator on your recipe? You need to be sure before you proceed.
Please get help from someone with this same nicotine, or talk to the vendor and get some clarification before proceeding!

@Pugs1970 should he be setting the recipe to 72 or 7.2 ?

It’s 72mg Nic? as far as I can see it’s been put in correctly as the recipe is 3mg and nic is 72mg PG?..

how come they call it 7.2?

honestly I’ve never noticed :flushed:

100% nic is 1000mg per ml so 7.2% is 72 mg/ml
