Noob waiting for scales.....Drops per ml perfumers apprentice flavours?

Hi I’m new to diy and planning on weighing my recipes once my 0.01g scales arrive (not for a couple more weeks)

Looking to do my first single flavour recipe and need confirmation of number of drops per ml for the perfumers apprentice flavours.

Using the eliquid recipe calculator with manufacturer specific gravities is approx 35 drops per ml correct?

cheers.

Sorry can’t help you there - I would suggest getting some syringes while you wait for your scale

I remember the problem with drops is the size of drops. Example have two sizes of pipettes ,both have different size drops. Getting some syringe s will be a lot better.

I am new to diy my first test batch last week and I thought about that problem and never did it then I went to try it and seen that they sold syringes with the nicotine so I bought them and it’s so simple to use them I can do a 30 ml bottle ready to steap in 2 mins rather than counting every single drop :+1:

I used my 5ml syringe and counted the drops to fill it 2ml. After realizing what a pain that was going to be, I just stuck with using the syringes lol. I just got my Etekcity scale in yesterday. No more syringes for me. And no need to worry about drops with the scale. Life is good now.

It’s complicated. Specific gravity doesn’t really relate to drops per unit volume. Drops are about the worst unit you could use for mixing.

Under user preferences there is a setting:

Measure in drops or grams:
 Use drops
 Use grams

You can set that to “Use drops” if you can’t get something to properly measure volumes before your scale arrives.

Hi friends :yum: thanks for all the replies

The thing is I’m only going to be mixing small 3ml recipe samples to begin so not sure how accurate I’m going to be with a syringe at this level.

I like the idea of dripping from the bottle…no cross contamination and no syringes to clean.

What I may try is seeing how many drops from one of my eight TPA flavous = 1ml then I can work it out from there…until my scales arrive
