I hope someone else chimes in because this isn’t my forte but I just received a gift of AirPods Pro (Apple product) and they work nicely. Problem is, they are above the budget you want. Wireless ear buds are great if they fit your ears well. If you’re going in that direction I would make sure you can try them first before buying. That’s all I got on that subject.
ETA: Have you already searched some products? Do a Google search and then some reviews. You might find something you hadn’t thought of yet.
I did a web search and the sheer amount of products available are staggering. I’m thinking of staying with the better known brands, doing the research, and then keep the process going. I’m not in any rush to get some, but would like to find a pair that fits my needs by the ending of October, so I can add that to my Xmas Wishlist, LOL
I’ve got the Beats by Dre flex and they are great, I also have the Sony WI-C310 which are also very good, I got them because I would lose those little pods in a heartbeat
Small buds fall out of mine, or I have to use the smallest set. I spent vey little time in the ‘ear size’ line during creation instead I was shoved into another line
I use Tozo T20 earbuds. They’re about 30.00 USD from Amazon (I got them on a promo for 21.00). They sound really great without breaking the bank. Calls are clear in both directions, it comes with an app with EQ and other custom settings. I did have a little trouble with the eartips fitting well and someone recommended Spin-Fit replacement eartips (CP-100). That did the trick.
Normally, I like over-the-ear cans, but when it’s 120F outside, they’re really, really uncomfortable. https://www.amazon.com/TOZO-T20-Bluetooth-Independently-Cancelling/dp/B0BS3THTLC?th=1
Edit: not sure why the links aren’t posting right, but they do work. Also, if you have a pair of earbuds that don’t fit quite right or lacking in bass, the Spinfit ear tips will greatly improve the sound as they create a better seal in the ear canal by allowing the tips to swivel without the whole bud moving.
They make a HUGE difference. Just be mindful of the sizes, not just for your ears but also for the case. I have a pair of Tozo A10s and the Spinfits do wonders for the bass, but they’re too big and you can’t charge them in the case, whereas on the T20s they work perfectly.
Right now I only have the wired earbuds that came supplied with an older iPhone. The wires keep getting snagged and I’m constantly having to reinsert them or readjust, which is becoming a pain.
Thanks for all the info, everyone! My wife and I decided to go with “His ‘n Her’s” AirPod 2’s. They were on clearance at Target, and my wife had a bunch of gift cards she wanted to use. After all the cards were redeemed, we paid in the neighborhood of $20-$30 each! Not bad for a regular price of $90!
Sound is decent, and I like the tap controls. They don’t have the snuggest fit, but I can hear my surroundings, or anyone trying to call me on the walkie.
I’ll definitely still have everyone’s recommendations though. I tend to lose small things and it’s always good to have a backup pair.
I have three pair, one for yard work, one pair for int he house and one more just in case one of the other two die. They are oval shaped so they fit over my entire ear, the round ones all cover partially and then end up hurting my ears after awhile. great battery life and sound. Take forever to turn off tho, like 15 second of hold the button, lol.
