No I never mixed it didnt even know it existed…I was talking about flavors not a particular recipe… You know like Loranns Cheesecake, loranns cream cheese icing , Hangesens italian cream , FA fresh cream , etc etc etc. Cant have a Trinity and not include Loranns Cheesecake imo
Yes, Yes, Yes and hell Yes
.
Hey everyone. I wasn’t able to get a pumpkin spice aroma in time for the contest, but here is my entry. I think it hits the mark, but you be the judges.
(I didn’t even realize that I had a pumpkin spice)
I did not come out with a successful original this month. I tried lots of profiles, most of them with some combo of FLV Pumpkin Spice and VSO Pumpkin. Something about the two together is just not working for me. I get a red hot/candy cinnamon wherever they’re together and I’m not a fan.
The only thing I mixed this month that I want more of is:
SC Sweet Potato Pie (now “Pumpkin Pie” at Apex?) all by itself at 3%.
And JF Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake (One Shot)
Which is both humbling and relieving. Sometimes all the mixing shenanigans can’t “beat the market”.
So good. I chugged through my 10ml sft not wanting anything else.
Now I’ll probably throw some pecan and brown sugar at it, because that’s “sweet potato dessert” to me. But it’s honestly in one-shot territory all by itself.
Never been a fan of the VSO Pumpkin…Do you have the Original or the Raw Vso pumpkin??
ditto, ditto, ditto… I was quite happy with this after reading @SessionDrummer review. I did a couple tiny tweaks and it worked fine for me this fall.
Guess I’ll break down and finally try the Loranns CC. What do you find makes it different from my usual favorite CAP NYC? Thx.
The regular. I’ve been working through a few VSOs, both regular and raw. Some are great, some are ok, some are meh. Which is most flavor houses, tbf.
When I tried the VSO Pumpkin by itself I thought it was OK. And trying it next to the FLV it felt different enough that they seemed like they could be complimentary. But 1+1 /= 3 in this case, for me. Together they were worse than separate.
Totally different animal @TakeMeToTheSea, and they both have their uses. CAP’s has the punchy (hehe, New York style) “in your face” cheesecake with some bite, Lorann’s however is a completely different creamy approach. VERY smooth and creamy. Some would say more creamy than cheesy.
Aaaaahhh OK. So, maybe I might use that one with bananas, coconut, coffee, caramel or chocolate. And, keep my CAP for berries, citrus and tropical flavors. So I guess that adding the mascarpone would “cheese” it up, too. Does the Loranns have a 2 week steep time, too?
Thanks! ![]()
Well what (with), and where you choose to use it is up to you. As far as steep times, maybe starting at a week, but depending on what you mix it with IMO. Steep times will vary, depending on what you mix it with, maybe starting at a week.
Loranns is creamier 100pct the Cheesecake no pie , Caps is more of a No Bake you buy done where Loranns is more of a Homemade…I add Hangsens Italian Cream or FLV brie and its perfect . Ive also added the Crram Cheese Icing and Cheescake together and its wonderful.
Looks like I’ll be placing an order to DIY in Canada for the Loranns CC
and the Hangsens IC. I’ve already got the cream cheese and fresh cream.
Thanks!
this month was a dooZy, had a tough time coming up with something original
Please don’t enter me on the wheel
Thanks guys! ![]()
I went the brown sugar cinnamon route. It took a while with all the steeping
of various versions, but I think it turned out pretty well. ![]()
I hope everyone starts using more Pumpkin Spice so that it never suffers the fate of “discontinued due to low sales”. So here’s my second submission for the month - a little something for the Holidays . . .
k fine ill buy 10ml of pumpkin spice, now flavorah cant discontinue it
