I fall in love with the feeling of blowing a cloud from the very early beginning of steam vapor. From the Mechanical mod’s single coil to box mods’dual coils or four coils, I gradually understand it in a deeper way right now. And I’d like to share something about inseparable accessories to steam vapor----battery.
It is a headache to choose batteries for many reasons of battery industry. Many may not get the authentic batteries and many batteries are re wrapped.
The newbie said Mech mod oil atomizer drops is for big vapor smoking, but why smoke volume could not get more than that the box mods’ regulating box 20 w did. The problem may trouble many people, The following is my opinion.
Assume a group dates
Voltage: 3.7V
Max continues discharge current: 35A
Mechanical smoke rod resistance + atomizer resistance + heating wire resistance + battery internal resistance =1.8Ω
In general, the bigger the power, the heavier smoke it will make. Take this
example above, how much power it is up to?
P=IU, U=IR
I=U/R=3.7V/1.8Ω≈2.06A
P=IU=2.06A3.7V=7.62W
So it is obvious that for the pressure regulating box, it makes heavier smoke than the mechanical smoke when adjust to 20w.
Then why there is saying that the only the mech mods could do if want to play a big vapor smoke could?
Assume another group dates
Voltage: 3.7V
Max continues discharge current: 35A
Mechanical smoke rod resistance + atomizer resistance + heating wire resistance + battery internal resistance =0.25Ω
You see, now the resistance is lower than the ever one.
Using the same formula
I=U/R=3.7V/0.25Ω=14.8A
P=IU=14.8A3.7=54.76W
The power changed to 54.76W, then it will make heavier smoke than the 20w box. So the lower the resistance, the bigger the power will be.
There is another problem may misguide people. When purchasing a battery, you will see the wrap of 20A, 30A, 35A or 40A. By the way, it is not the continuous discharge current, but the max discharge current it can bear. So it is Why playing big smoke cloud should use power battery, which can be able to afford large discharge.
Then a big advantage of pressure regulating box is parameter can be controlled.
Another eternal topic is safety. As we all know, big smoke need lower resistance. When using 0.25 resistance, I only choose the low internal resistance battery. Such as VTC4 about 12mΩ，Tesiyi about 10mΩ.
