Well…I’m super pleased. Made my own recipe while waiting for my other flavors to come in.
Have been drop tasting it for 2 weeks (no RDA). Today I thought I’d try a proper vape. Not bad at all.
Now I know the Creme Brulee should have a longer steep time (3-4 weeks) as opposed to the 2 that I did, but really liked the flavor mix I have. Wife as well. Can only imagine how much better it might be on a longer steep.
Something I think I will tweak even more, and steep even more, but liked it enough that I am about to make 2 full sized bottles for the wife and I.
There is a certain satisfying feeling to vape not only your made vape…but your own recipe.
I’m definitely going to make some recipes, and some more of my own. I also know to expect a few failures along the way. So glad I went down this road.
That’s awesome welcome to the DIY mixers club. A more perfect statement ever uttered. It’s life changing when you realize that you can make great tasting e-juices on your own. Just watch your step that freaking rabbit hole of buying flavors and gear can get really DEEP!
Its so nice to hear when people get it right first time, so many people just give up when their first mix doesnt turn out right, or it doesnt taste like commercial juice/disposables etc, you will get some mixes that arent as good as you would like but thats what recipe development is about, & eventually your mixes will be better than anything you can buy off the shelf.
Having SessionDrummer, Lynda_Marie, DanielTheVapeMan, EyeMSam & DIYorDIE/ENYAWREKLAW are all a huge help when it comes to picking flavours. I take my hat off to you all, such a massive help to the diy community. Watching them/reading their notes etc will save you so much money & time in the long run, after a while you will start to notice which one/more of them have a similar pallette/tastes to you, this will make it even easier picking new good flavours.
I do feel sometimes i have a good sense of what flavors I like together…I may not always be right for others. I do…fully expect that i will also have some bombs as well. But…part of the learning process. Need a few failures to be able to move forward. If you view anything as a failure then quit…then whatever you were doing wasn’t for you. If you can’t take failures or criticism then there is no point in trying anything.
To me it’s not a rabbit hole but a black hole, if you’re trapped into DIY then you’ll never go out; so come on, welcome to the dissident side of vape!!!
I’m really happy for you. I remember having my mind blown when I tested just a flavor that I liked. It was Coffee Liqueur (VTA) and I thought it was the most delicious single flavor I had ever tasted, lol, so realistic. Are you going to share what you mixed?
