Quick question about steeping time

Hi

Quick question.

Does 5ml of 70/30 VG/PG 6mg NIC with strawberry/cheesecake/vanila ice cream take the same amount of steeping time as a 30ml or greater of the same mixture?

appreciate any input.

Overall yes…about the same.

When you get into the 100ml-plus mixes people do report that it takes abit longer

I say yes, the cheesecake and the vanilla ice cream both need time atleast 3-4 weeks they may be vapable at 2 weeks but the full transition of flavors blending are what we’re waiting on. I make 5 ml and 8 ml testers occasionally and I still give them the proper steep time. Vanilla ice cream certainly can have a dramatic effect over just a few weeks. If it’s TFA def go for the longer steep as it can come off peppery this is also a personal thing it doesn’t happen to everyone and it does matter at what % you’ve used your flavors at.

Hope this helps.

I saw this and thought, hell, my liquids never get to sit long enough to steep. I don’t know what steep time is anymore because I make it and gets vaped up by me and everyone else before the empty bottle hits the table. Then it’s time to rinse and repeat.

What Amy said. The only time I differ is if I know that there is ethyl maltol in the flavouring, and even then I steep for at least a week

Thank you all for the replies. So it doesn’t matter how big the patch is it requires steep time.

So if there’s em do you notice shorter steep time, or do you just mean that you still steep them even though the em can mute things over time?

Hi, sorry, I should have been more clear, I don’t use em at all, Ive swapped it out for stevia, but some flavours contain em so its unavoidable. As a general rule I steep for a week, even the s&v recipes, it suits my taste.

In the time that I used em I didnt notice that it shortened steep times. In my opinion theres no doubt that em does take the edge off some of the flavours that I use (mostly fruits), but I don’t mix large batches so I can keep that effect to a minimum.

Have you found that em reduces steep time ?

Gotcha. I haven’t noticed that em reduces steep time, but I do try to make sure that if I make a recipe with it as an ingredient to not let it get pushed to the back of the box. I was just curious and wanted to make sure I was reading you right.
