Recommendations For Most Flavorful Ejuice ( commercial vendors )

OK so here are some recipes I’ve been given in private, with a few on ELR. ALL of them make me cough horribly. My nicotine is 100% and nic, vg, and pg are all from Liquid Nicotine Wholesalers. I use a mix of 65VG/35 PG, 6 nic.

Banana Cream
Banana Cream (TFA) 5%
French Vanilla Creme (TFA) 2%
Cheesecake (CAP) 3.5%

It’s been steeping a week, I taste almost no flavor but it makes me cough horribly. Given as private recipe.

Cereal
Berry Cereal (TFA) 3%
Fruit Circles with Milk (TFA) 6%
Milk (TFA) .75%
French Vanilla (TFA) 1%

It’s been steeping a week, very hint of cereal flavor but makes me cough horribly. Given as private recipe.

Pink Lemonade
Pink Lemonade (CAP) 10%

Steeped a week, makes me cough horribly. Recipe off of ELR.

Rainbow Sherbert
Rainbow Sherbert (FW) 15%

Steeped 3 weeks, doesn’t taste like anything and makes me cough. Recipe off ELR.

Now do you guys see why I’m having so many problems? Everyone is giving me recipes and they are all throwing me into a coughing fit. Any advice on where I’m going wrong?

I have the same tank you have… been sold to me as a really good flavor tank but compared to my RDAs, not even half the flavor.
I’d definitely look for a tank or RTA with a lot better flavor.

That sucks I really don’t have anymore money to spend on anything. Live off veterans disability so I tried to save money with DIY and it’s costing me more. Thanks for the advice though.

I’m not saying it’s unusable, just that you don’t have to expect a flavor bomb going off when vaping. I was just really disappointed with it and I’m often getting dry hits on 70/30 juices when I bump the power up over 45W. I do still use it sometimes when I don’t want to walk around with a bottle of juice the whole time…

If you’re vaping on a low budget, going with an RTA is the best way forward though. There are plenty good RTA recommendations on this forum (check the reviews section). It’s a little investment but you’ll be saving money in the long run by not having to buy commercial coils anymore.

@RaechelZ I’m wondering something here. You said basically all of them are making you cough ?? Is your NIC oxidized, brown, or taste peppery ??

@RaechelZ You served ?

I don’t know its the same color it was when it came. I’d call it a light caramel color? I don’t know if it taste peppery but every recipes I’ve tried makes me cough.

My guess is that you are over flavor and lacking depth. Looking at the notes from the recipie side not people recommend single flavor at 10%. Over flavored means that you are blowing out your taste buds.

I would try diluting this mix and give it 24 hours. And additionally drink more water.

Further more. Diving into recipes I see a lot of people mixing between 4-7% in a balance mix. This makes me even more concerned and would have probably done a single flavor test with 15mls of finished product at 7% flavor and if it was weak add alittle more flavor.

Even more furthering the thought I would do mofe of something like this…
sherbet fw 6% (main cream)
Marshmallow 1% (manufacture of choice)
Strawberry ripe tpa or strawberry fa or combination of the both not to be more that 4%.
The end result is a base of sherbet and a sliver of red. Without the additional fruit this will remain flat and not fun.

The above is what I mean by research. I won’t do this for all your mixes…

But the cereal…i would steep for two weeks before even touching it.

The banana seems to be too much cream and not enough banana. If you had banan cap of fa to add it would help lift banana from the cream.

Thank you for your service @RaechelZ. Check your PM’s.

Well the NIC doesn’t look terrible, BUT, it’s not CLEAR either. Are you storing it in the freezer inbetween mixing sessions ?? If so, the fridge, or freezer can greatly reduce oxidation, which can cause NIC to taste peppery, become harsh, and CAN, make you cough.

No, I didn’t know I was supposed to. I will. Is it ruined? I may be kicked off the forum bc I just got a notice saying Ive posted 40% so I may not be back. Is the nic ruined?

Try this experiment:
Mix a recipe with no flavor, if you cough that will tell you it is not your mixed e-liquid but the VG PG or Nicotine making problems.

Another experiment is:
Mix some 0mg/ml e-liquid, if you cough you are narrowing it down to be the PG VG or flavors making problems.

Your nic is prob not unusable, it can sit out a while without ruining.

@RaechelZ You’re NOT going to be kicked off for posting. Not sure what that message was, but keep posting !!!

I don’t know if your NIC is ruined or not, but it MIGHT be oxidized/oxidizing. It darkens in color, and can get a peppery taste to it, and it CAN become quite harsh.

If you decided NOT to give up on DIY, AND, decided to get some new, fresh NIC, break down any big, or plastic bottles, into smaller amber glass bottles, and store them in the fridge or better yet, the freezer. Breaking down big bottles into small bottles, means you’re not introducing air to ALL of your NIC, every time you open the bottle, only the smaller bottle. The fridge/freezer will extend the life, and keep it fresher.
