Im trying to figure out what i could use as a stand in for the sugar cane vta. Where chefs has closed and it was the only place in the uk i could get it im kind of lost. If anyone has used and knows the profile it brings id love your thoughts and opinions. I was going to give raw sugar vta a try but nomnomz is sold out so thats where i stand right now
I think vape train (vta) ship internationally from Australia .
They do but for only two concentrates even with the exchange rate its around £20 for shipping alone so i end up paying £35 for two concentrates
Raw Sugar is not as sweet as Sugar Cane.
It also has a different taste which is hard to describe.
Like a dry sugar is the best I can explain it.
That sugar cane is great because it does add that certain layer to ice creams. Makes more like real ice cream. I hate i didnt by like 5 bottles before chefs closed. I use it a lot. And the cherry coke from @SessionDrummer isnt the same without it. Literally goes flat with other sweeteners.
Just to be devils advocate, if you order 5 bottles from Australia would that offset the shipping?
I only tend to get VTA when there are 3 or 4 I need as even here (I am in Australia) the shipping can bite.
I am not sure if they have changed but they never had 10ml bottles only 30ml and above on the website.
Thats what i was thinking but the problem with that sugar cane is i dont use alot of it in my recipes cause once you get over 1 % it gets too much. The taste it brings is hard to describe its almost like sugar that is almost going to burn but doesnt and you save. Its very faint. I have looked the only two things i use from them is their vanilla ice cream which is one of the best i ever used and the sugar cane. I use cinnamon donut but i stocked up from nom nomz and chefs to last me two years. So its like yeah how to justify to my other half that i desperately needed it
Could do a bit of experimentation mate. I really like VTA Pudding Base and their Milkshake…
I have their milkshake base it does add a nice malted flavor to it as for pudding the wf vanilla custard is more pudding then custard and its really nice my order that should be here today has two bottles in it its like i use their creme de methe because its the most authentic to any of the others i tried and a little goes a long way. Usually .2-.5% its really strong
Interesting, the WF Vanilla Custard to me is more like a heavy cream or an American pudding. The VTA Pudding Base is totally different and more like a English style pudding (like the old style boiled ones sort of) to my taste.
Yes exactly. I am a american in the uk so when i say pudding its a pudding reminds me of jello vanilla pudding but it still has minor custard notes real minor but the premium custard and cap custard elp balance it. After retesting the premium custard they sent me (which my earlier purchase was not the same) its another subtle custard but nice at 3%. Not bad but needs help too. I just add alittle cap custard to help balance it
You could always drop Richard at NomNomz a line and ask if he would add VTA Sugar Cane to their list, he’s a decent guy and likes to help.
Yeah im gonna give him a shutout he got me a 10ml premium custard to see if the bottle i got was off and then let me add the raspberry sweet tpa when i forgot it so yeah guy is good dude
