[REQ] 12 Monkeys Puris

I’d venture to guess that Puris is in fact Citrus Punch and a really bright peach with a little cooling… Just finished a bottle, but Shoku is my joint (Raspberry Passionfruit)

Raspberry is another favorite of mine I’ve tried many bought varieties but haven’t quite found a decent one yet.
Thanks for the advice!

Not to beat the shit out of a dead horse, and it sounds like you’re firm in your methodology which is cool, but rarely have I seen recipes posted with oddball percentages like those. 98% of the time they’ll be rounded to the nearest 0.5. The only time I’ve ever done that is when I over shoot a measurement and I record it that way for inventory purposes.

@TorturedZen… I use Alpine at around .12% :stuck_out_tongue:

a lot of times, yes will round…depends on the goal of the recipe. I do have a lot that are odd…
Because I mix by weight and depend on my drops weighting at .02g per drop and if I use 18 drops… that is .32g or .32ml or 1.2% :smiley: :stuck_out_tongue:

And that makes you part of the other 2% dahling! :kissing_heart:

Awww… <3 haha!!! :coffee::grin: You are amazing TZ… :slight_smile:

Ohhh ok I’ve spent to much time reviewing recipes then (lol) those numbers are correct but from multiple sites and googled videos. I would think people would round them off for a more reasonable way to create or recreate a favorite recipe. I’ll try be a bit more specific before posting information especially when it comes to measurements. It was only intended as an example. If I’m not mistaken it’s from a googled scale tutorial explaining how exact a scale can be.
Thanks for your advice!

That all depends too on which manufacture you are working with.
There are some flavors from companies that even 1 extra “drop” can make your juice results a bit too much… It only takes a drop to change a fluid and chances are, not reversible. :slight_smile:

I do understand why you did it… and it is good for those starting into mixing their own juice tho… it can come in handy :slight_smile:

It’s funny you mentioned Drops because even that is debatable some claim its 30 drops equals 1ml some say 42 drops equals 1ml. I go by the 30 drops but have never really measured or weighed out what it is or if it’s even an accurate measurement. ??
See there I go again showing my experience again! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye::upside_down_face:

You’ll have to excuse me, I am on my tablet and on the road. I work with one flavor company, and their bottle tips are all of the same size. I mix by weight, I use scales. I have counted out how many drops it takes to make a ml. With Flavorah, it is 50 drops per ml. ELR has a special place to insert how many drops per mill your recipe takes. I found out that if I don’t provide that information, it does not make my recipe match up with how many drops per mil a flavoring that it takes to create my recipe.

You can read more about how I do things here: https://flvfan.com/elr-calculator-help/

Wasn’t so sure before but if 50 drops is the 1ml mark/weight I’ll be well under my flavor amounts that I made a few days ago which is ok. I’ve sampled one of my mixes today and was surprised of how nice its developed so far. 10% Juicy Peach CAP, 1.5% Cool Mint CAP AND 1.5% Citrus Punch TFA. It’ll need more time to steep but its enjoyable not exactly the same taste but close!
Thanks again everyone!

Mind you… my 50 drops is for All Flavorah recipes…

if you were to mix up flavor companies… I suggest rebottling them all into one bottle type and then finding yor own how many drops in a ml… otherwise it wont be the same at all. :slight_smile:

Yea well that’s another reason I use syringes an assortment of them 1ml, 3ml, 6ml and 10ml easy to withdraw micro amounts or 10ml amounts. Eager to get the weigh scale though for the 10ml tested batches itll be a lot easier because I’ve got a ton of Cheesecake recipes to try along with Tabacco V.C.T (Vanilla, Custard, Tabacco) recipes. It’s so nice to have great advice st your fingertips on this site I’d truly be lost and overwhelmed by now on my own. I’m very appreciative by all the helpful information and tips from everyone.

Forgot to add that the 30 drops per ml are eye dropper drops.

Just wanted to add that the Cool Mint (CAP) will need to be dialed down to 1% or less the flavor really came through and is a bit more than I’d like it to be. I added 10ml Juicy Peach (pre-mixed flavor CAP) to 20ml of the remaining liquid and its a nice flavor again. It was getting to be much too minty for my liking.
Its getting complicated now that I’m using the scale but I still find great use for the syringes.

Drops per ml/gram 50 drops from 10ml flavor bottles but that changes if you use 100ml bottles it’s about 30 drops per ml/gram.

Heard someone the other day here say that INW peach was their favorite… I haven’t played with peaches enough to give an opinion

The only time I get those weird percentages is when I adapt a recipe say, to “reduce total flavor percentage”, then it calculates out each of the concentrates at strange precise numbers.

Its definitely something that occurs frequently I’m not sure what Mr. Zen is trying to communicate to this post/thread but my amounts are correct. Right down the second decimal weight. I obviously round those numbers off but like I’ve mentioned before any advice is welcomed. Newbie status here but because of this site and its members has made my experience very enjoyable. I’m still doing a lot of tank mixing with phenomenal results and the flavors I’ve tested and tried you cant buy anywhere. I’ve got two incredible tabacco flavors that turned out better than expected way over any expectations I imagined. The helpful advice and information provided by the members here is priceless!!

Thanks,

Mally
