We had some heavy rain and winds yesterday upper east coast, but Kentucky looks like they really got hammered.

After growing up in a tornado alley (watched our back yard get destroyed, fencing with 4x4 posts snapped off and our 3 foot above the ground pool picked up and blown away (when the liner ripped it looked incredible) I know the damage a tornado can do. And they can be so unpredictable. Though it destroyed our back yard, our house and the house next door were untouched. There were a handful of times growing up where there would be 3 or 4 house in a block that had their roofs ripped off. I hope people get the help they need to rebuild, repair and recover.

My town hasn’t seen a tornado since 1968 thank god, we got a ton of rain but thats it, i appreciate the concern! When that storm hit indiana it hooked east pretty hard, i live about 20 minutes from the Illinois border and it was mostly rain here, my parents live in indiana close to the ohio border and they had sustained 40mph winds for almost 10 hours straight
